A new Gallup poll indicates that Hillary Clinton‘s ahead of competitor Barack Obama nationally. And Clinton guru Mark Penn’s spinning the numbers like whoa. Other strategists, however, see a bigger challenge than Clinton and Penn would like to believe. [MSNBC and CBS]

Yes, she is. (And yes, we can!) As the polls begin to measure the depth of disgust and doubt about Senator Obama stirred up by his racist thug spiritual mentor, we will indeed see Hillary barreling forward. How fortunate for the nation that she didn’t drop out before this current Obama meltdown.
Nate
Those polls are from a few days ago (when everyone was attacking him and his priest).
I wouldn’t mind Hillary getting the nomination, but it isn’t going to happen. Hillary can’t win the nomination, it is nearly impossible mathematically. She would have to get more than 90% of the remaining popular vote to get enough delegates…
Rev Wrong
Today Obama says that his grandmother is a “typical white person” in that she is afraid of blacks. NOW, there is a start to building a bridge.
Later, John Kerry said Obama was the best person to deal with Muslims because he is “black”.

This too shall pass.
My guess is that there’ll be a backlash against the backlash. People will get tired of all the bigoted comments (see RickRoberts and Rev Wrong, above) & veer back towards Obama’s camp.
(No 1: You can disagree with the preacher, but he is not a ‘thug’ in the same way that he is not a nigger, jigaboo, coon, or a spade. Your words betray you. No. 3: I think you’re a right-wing plant. Every post of yours I’ve seen is provably false. Be a man and show your face.)
Hillary’s numbers were never higher than when people called her a bitch.

Honestly, I’m getting to a point where I’m just tired of it all dragging on + on. I’ll vote for whichever of the two dems get nommed, but it feels as though it’s taking forever to reach that point.

Neither Senator Clinton or Senator Obama can win enough delegates through the primaries…that’s why we have a convention! Isn’t that special? All this screaming and hand ringing makes great TV and gives the talking heads something to fill up air time, but it does little except show biased reporting for what it is. I too will vote for the Democrat in Nov. I’m ready to give a woman a first chance at the job, but I will vote for the nominee! Turn off the tube and read a book, or take a walk..chill…it’s still only March!

Hisurfer, so you’re accusing me of bigotry for calling a thug a thug? True, I am bigoted . . . against thugs. Perhaps you would like to claim the word for black ne’er-do-wells only. I have always thought a thug could be any race.
To comfort you, I’m as far from a Republican plant as you’ll find here. May I offer up my checkbook register as evidence?

Whatever happened to the Dream Ticket? Both Dem camps are Happy and the strongest gets the Top of the Ticket. With Hillary’s surge, it could well be Madame Clinton and the media had written her obituary countless times. The Clintons can never be underestimated and the GOP have known that all along before spinning the Polls with their corn-fed pundits. Sit and Spin, McCain!
todd
Hillary AND McCain. Now there is a Republican DREAM TICKET!

The following comment was emailed to me privately. I don’t understand why this person is unwillingly to make her comment part of our discourse, but I am doing it for her. Here goes:
I can’t believe what a closed-minded bigot you are…especially since you’re a “typical gay guyâ€.
It’s obvious why your Tumblr offers no commenting options…
You’re SO fired up to spew and perpetuate all this out-of-context Rev. Wright hatred on an hourly basis, without demonstrating one bit of careful thought or reflective understanding that this touchy subject should inspire. Barack did NOT throw his white grandmother to the wolves, but you and your ilk are fast to point out that he didn’t throw Rev. Wright to those same wolves, for “words†that he said. Did you want him to cut Rev. Wright’s head off of live TV? Or say that he would quite the church so that everybody could say he was a wishy washy liar? Sure, Rev, Wright said some nasty things that most people don’t want to hear, but the point is that Barack didn’t throw ANYBODY to the wolves. He’s trying to stop all that nonsense and get people to look beyond all that crap and take on some real issues, rather than distractions.
You’re a total hypocrite with your head up your ass, and as backward thinking as you are, you don’t even deserve to be gay.
Stick that on your stupid blog…don’t worry, I won’t be reading the trash anyway.
For the record, I am a married 35 year old typical white woman living in America.
fredo777
And, Rev. Wrong, you misquoted Obama. He didn’t say “afraid of blacks”. He said people whom they are uncomfortable with + don’t know.
I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt in that he assumes the same thing of the “typical” black, asian, or other person, but only said white b/c his grandmother is white.
