Tom DeLay Will Serve 3 Years For Money Laundering + Conspiracy

Tom DeLay, who used to have Eric Cantor’s job as House majority leader, will serve three years in federal prison after being convicted of money laundering and conspiracy by funneling corporate dollars through the RNC to Texas State Hosue candidates. He’ll also have 10 years probation after he gets out.

I guess DeLoon won’t be reprising his role on ‘Dancing with the Stars.’

Betting odds he doesn’t serve even half that?

I hope it’s not a “country club” prison. I want him to have the biggest, ugliest, meanest cellmate to make him his bitch.

Well he will be serving his time in the Texas pen. I am sure he is wishing Bush was still in office. Obama ’12 will ensure that he is not pardon by a republican who is only sympathetic when one of their cronies are headed to the big house. “The Hammer” in the slammer.

Hail, Hail, the King is jailed, the King is jailed. Too bad Cheney and Bush isn’t his cellmates.

I doubt DeLay will ever set foot in prison. He is rich and powerful. He will just hire enough lawyers to keep appeals running for the next two decades. After he dies of old age, the prosecution will drop the case.

The important question is, what about prosecuting the people who helped him, and the people who benefited by his illegal acts.
DeLay didn’t do this alone. He had help.
