WATCH: Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts Battle It Out as Mother and Daughter in “August: Osage County”

Meryl Streep, sounding a lot like and looking sort of like Silkwood co-star Cher, returns to teach Julia Roberts a thing or two about acting in the first trailer for August: Osage County.

From the moment Meryl stumbles down the stairs, you can hear her name being added to next year’s Oscar ballot. Based on Tracy Letts’ Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play, August: Osage County has Streep and Roberts sharing the screen for the first — and if reports are to be believed, the last — time. More like August: Osage Cunty, right?

Meanwhile, Roberts and her My Best Friend’s Wedding co-star Rupert Everett Dermot Mulroney are reunited and it feels so good. The film also stars Chris Cooper, Abigail Breslin, Juliette Lewis, Benedict Cumberbatch and Ewan McGregor and will start baiting Academy voters November 18.
