Former Pastor Lonnie Latham’s apparently “ecstatic” that a judge has acquitted him of misdemeanor charge of “offering to engage in an act of lewdness”.
Latham got nabbed last January when he asked an undercover cop for a blow job. Not the most generous of chaps, the copper threw Latham in jail, thus ending the prominent and just as homophobic pastor’s career. The Houston Chronicle elaborates:
Latham has spoken out against same-sex marriage and in support of a directive urging the Southern Baptist Convention’s 42,000 churches to try to convince gays and lesbians they can become heterosexual “if they accept Jesus Christ as their savior and reject their ‘sinful, destructive lifestyle.'”
Latham resigned as pastor of the South Tulsa Baptist Church after his arrest and stepped down from the board of directors of the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma and from the executive committee of the Southern Baptist Convention.
Martin said Latham was ecstatic that the judge found him not guilty and said he holds no bitterness about the case.
Prosecutors sought one year in jail and up to a $2500 fine for Latham’s dick-driven discretion, but Latham’s lawyers insisted he did nothing wrong. Now apparently the judge’s agreed and Latham’s free to go on his merry way.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Too bad his career’s in the toilet and his name’s been run through the dirt. Now maybe Latham can fess up to the fact that he’s a faggot and start doing some good.

Does this make sense?
“District Attorney David Prater said the state has a legitimate interest in regulating such requests.
“In no way are we wanting to get involved in people’s personal lives and sex lives outside of commercial prostitution,” Prater said.”
So he’s saying the state does have an interest in regulating people’s ability to arrange to have sex, but that the have no interest in doing it? How does commercial prostitution figure into this? Did Latham offer to pay for sex? Isn’t that a whole ‘nother kind of offense? At least his anti-gay preaching career is over…
