Babysitter_Mugshot_embedA Nebraska man is facing felony charges after allegedly using duct tape to force two young boys to watch the cult classic Mommie Dearest.

29-year-old Glenn Oliver (pictured) has been charged with child abuse and false imprisonment, according to court records obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.

The records state that Oliver told police he was babysitting the two boys, ages four and six, on Sunday evening while their mother/his girlfriend was at work. He tried to get the boys to quietly watch the movie. When they wouldn’t cooperate, he got out the duct tape.

Oliver allegedly used the tape to cover the boys’ mouths, wrists, chests, ankles and heads. According to Officer Benjamin Murry, Oliver told police “he didn’t think it was that big of a deal,” adding that he was exhausted, not to mention frustrated, because the boys refused to listen to him.

A neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous, happened to stop by the house and see what was going on. She snapped a picture of the children with her cellphone then removed them from the home and contacted police.

Oliver’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 21.
