Now that Britain’s Labour Party is out of power with Gordon Brown, who needs to care about respecting their members, let alone their gay members? Certainly not a Westminster pub, which kicked out the political party’s queer group.
A manager at Punch Taverns’s Greencoat Boy venue stands accused of telling Labour’s LGBT group it wouldn’t have accepted their reservation if he knew it was a gay group. So the LGBTs took to Twitter(!), the police got involved, and now Punch’s management says it’s very concerned about diversity and cooperating fully with the investigation.
Our solution? Spend a week and rename “happy hour” to “gay hour,” and we’ll all have a pint and a laugh together.
