Charlie Hunnam reveals man-crush; Ryan Murphy casts Ricky Martin as Versace; Tina Turner returns

Insidiously handsome actor Charlie Hunnam has a man-crush: David Beckham.

“It became very clear why and how Beckham’s become the phenomenon that he has,” he tells the fashion site Mr. Porter.

“Because he showed up determined to do a good job. He’d worked with a dialect coach, and maybe an acting coach. I sort of anticipated, well, he’s a superstar. This is not his primary or even his secondary focus; this is just a bit of a giggle for him. But that work ethic just shone through.”

Hunnam and Beckham will be appearing together in Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, which opens May 12.

“Our first TINA musical workshop was so special for me, and I’m very proud to share this first look with you.”

That’s Tina Turner, in a Facebook post that gives fans an update on TINA: The Musical. Though very little is known about the production, it’s said to chart Turner’s entire life, from her humble beginnings to the present day.  Have a look.

Deadline reports Ricky Martin has just been cast as Gianni Versace in Ryan Murphy‘s American Crime Story, season 3. He’ll be joining Penelope Cruz as Donatella and Darren Criss as sociopath Andrew Cunanan.

On Saturday night, Drag Race star Ginger Minj was taken to the hospital after collapsing backstage at the Haters Roast in Dallas.

She tells NewNowNext, “I suffered some internal bleeding while in Dallas last weekend and passed out after the show, “so Acid Betty and Phi Phi O’Hara packed my bags, got me out of drag and into boy clothes. By the time I realized what was going on we were in an Uber headed for the emergency room!”

“I’m doing everything I can to take care of myself,” says Ginger, who’s waiting for test results to determine what happened. “But I refuse to sit at home and do nothing when there are people depending on me. My fans are amazingly loyal to me and I can’t let them down.”

So she’s squeezing in a couple of shows with Katya in the U.K. while conferring with doctors.
