Yesterday we reported that a Chicago-area man filed a federal lawsuit against particularly brutal and anti-gay police officers.
Some of you wanted to know what this man looked like and who’s representing him. The man, Frankie Brown, can be seen to the right.
As for his legal representation, Brown’s hired Jon Loevy and Matt Jenkins of Loevy and Loevy, a firm known for taking on over-aggressive cops.
For more pictures of Brown and his lawyers, check out Chicago Indy Media.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

During the 1980’s and 90’s the tactic of launching “a thousand lawsuits” developed by the Southern Poverty Law Center broke the back of the KKK. The courts ordered the confiscation of KKK assets to compensate their victims.
Anyone who finds themselves in the same situation as Frankie Brown should check out their website and the sites of Lambda Legal, the National Center for Lesbian Rights and the ACLU for help.
We have to insist that Hate Crimes laws particularly target homobigoted police and prosecutors and have provisions for the state to pay for our plaintiffs legal costs. Too many give up because they have no money and lawyers rarely take these cases on a pro bono basis.
