Gay, country music star TJ Osborne posted a super sweet birthday message to his boyfriend, Abi Ventura.
On Instagram, Osborne wrote, “Abi, you coming into this world has completely changed mine forever. I never knew what people meant when they said they feel seen and omg wow now do I get what if feels like to truly be seen because of you. You see me. I see you. I’ve never felt love like this. I’ve never felt happiness like this. Thank you for loving me for who I am. Happy Birthday mi corazon @abiezervh”

Accompanying the message was a photo of Osborne kissing Ventura in a swimming pool.
Osborne, 36, is best known as half of the duo The Brothers Osborne. He came out as gay in an interview with Time last year.
“I’m very comfortable being gay,” he told the magazine. “I find myself being guarded for not wanting to talk about something that I personally don’t have a problem with. That feels so strange.”
Osborne went on to reveal that the conservative, homophobic atmosphere within country music prompted him to stay closeted. “I don’t think I’m going to get run off the stage in Chicago. But in a rural town playing a county fair? I’m curious how this will go.”
Thankfully, his coming out seems not to have dented his success. His announcement was met with a whole heap of support. Last November, he received a standing ovation at the Country Music Awards when he and his brother took home the award for Duo Of The Year. When they were announced as winners, TJ also made headlines by turning to kiss his boyfriend, Ventura. It was the first time the pair had been seen in public.

Not much is publicly known about Ventura. His Instagram is locked and it’s only since the CMA appearance that Osborne has begun to post snaps of them together.

Good for him! Every well known person that comes out is another example that being LGBTQ is nothing shameful or wrong to millions of people.
That’s why the right wing troll always rushes into all of these articles to post something like “Who cares?” “Why do they have to make a big deal out of it?” or the best one “They’re just doing it for attention.”

WOW!! What a sexy couple!!!

I am so happy for him and his boyfriend. Very brave of him to have come out in that rather homophobic environment. Not being a fan of country music myself, and contradicting myself, I adore Ms Dolly Parton.

@ Cam : the one that gets me the most. Is the old stand by. ” I don’t care what they do as long as they don’t shove their liestyle idown our throats “

they look oddly paired to me.

@SDR94103. Me and they and a great deal of other folks on Queerty don’t care a hoot about what you think! And BTW, what a shitty screenname.

Where’s my famous lover and my love letter?

Was not a huge country fan but listened to Osbourne Bros after TJ came out and I love them. Its cool to see them as a couple, especially in country since they aren’t close to being a typical lily white pairing.

Living in Nashville, I can say that the music business is extremely diverse and full of LGBTQ people. And very liberal. Nashville is not like most of Tennessee. It’s some of the country music fans who are homophobic. The best way to change that is this right here.
Odd
I agree with you. I lived in Murfreesboro for 3 years while attended MTSU, I enjoyed those years. The homophobic idea is everywhere crush this ides so future generation’s can live free. We are just people with feelings no matter where we live.
Odd
Am confused there is post the should kept there relationship secret. Why? Don’t take us back 50 years. Why are they even on this site if they disapprove so.
