Feature-Length Documentary to Explore the Fascinating Lives of Drag Queens

Dragged Drag Queen Documentary Square ImageOver the past few weeks we have been featuring videos highlighting a variety of drag queens in the New York area, including Ivy Winters, Chaka Khanvict and Maddelynn Hatter. While these videos have been created to tell the individual story of each of these queens, they will soon come together to create the feature-length drag queen documentary ‘Dragged.’

Mainly focusing on the New York drag scene (the largest drag scene in the United States), ‘Dragged’ will tell the amazing stories of a variety of drag queens for whom drag is a huge part of their lives. From queens such as Bianca Del Rio, who have made drag their full-time career, to lesser-known queens who are only beginning to make their way onto the scene, this documentary aims to tell stories of drag queens at all stages of their careers.

‘Dragged’ may be the biggest attempt to portray the modern world of drag in recent years, but it won’t be able to do this without your help. Currently, the film is attempting to raise production costs through an IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign that launched yesterday. With just 60 days to reach it’s funding goal of $58,000, ‘Dragged’ needs both your financial and promotional help to become a reality. Whether you can donate to this project or not, please share this story or the IndieGoGo funding page and ask your friends and family to donate what they can.

If we work together, we can make ‘Dragged’ the greatest drag queen documentary of the 21st century!
