Oh, brother. Here we go again.
Phil Robertson, the disgraced homophobic patriarch from A&E’s ratings-sinking Duck Dynasty, has made more inflammatory comments against the LGBT community.
TMZ has acquired new video that shows Robertson giving a sermon on Easter Sunday in which he, once again, tears into gay people, calling them sinners, “wicked,” and damning them to hell, among other things.
In January, Robertson told GQ:
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
It seems like, to me, a vagina – as a man — would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.
In the new video, Robertson, dressed in his Sunday’s best — which, evidently, includes camouflage hunting pants, a filthy t-shirt, a bandana, and sunglasses — preaches to his fellow churchgoers:
They were mad at me. … because instead of acknowledging their sin, like you had better do, they rail against me for giving ’em their truth about their sin. Don’t deceive yourselves. You want the verse? The news media didn’t even know it was a verse. They thought I was just mouthing off.
We’re, admittedly, not experts on scripture, but we’re fairly certain that nowhere in the Bible is there a verse that reads: “Vaginas are more desirable than a man’s anus.”
Robertson continues:
Is homosexual behavior a sin? …. Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, neither the idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexual offenders, nor thieves, nor greedy, nor drunkards, not slanderers, not swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
Someone alert the gay mafia. This guy’s gotta go.

That MUST be true, because NO straight man has EVER asked a woman for anal……ever.

Can someone explain to me what the “Kingdom of God” is and what the tax liability would be if and when I inherit it?
jwrappaport
I’ll take the anus, thank you very much.

Phil Robertson, please do the world a favor and DROP DEAD.

More rantings of a religious retard without a clue.

His show will be cancelled due to low ratings soon. Then he can go back to his swamp and stew in his bigotry.

He’s a simpleton.

In the Old Testament, the Ten Commandments do not include homosexual behavior (Deuteronomy 5.11-21) and the seven acts most detestable to God (Proverbs 6.16-19: “haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and a man who sows discord among brothers” do not mention sexual misconduct. In the New Testament, Christ never mentioned homosexuality and asked for understanding and restraint of condemnation in sexual matters (John 8.1-11). The Bible never discusses homosexuality in the context of committed relationships or within the Gay community. In I Corinthians 6.9-10, as translated by some into English, St. Paul (coming from a cross-cultural Hebrew, Greek, and Roman perspective) discusses pagan sanctioned temple (cult) male prostitutes (???vo?, pornos), effeminate males or catamites (?????o?, malakos), and homosexuals (a???vo?oi???, arsenokoitai). St. Paul’s statements taken literally, as translated into English, would condemn celibate effeminate homosexuals. Boswell, using Koine Greek contemporary to St. Paul, translations into other languages, and early Christian scholarship and commentaries on I Corinthians 6.9-10 convincingly argues St. Paul was not discussing homosexuals or homosexuality.
Saint Augustine, considered Pauline, admitted homosexual practices with much anguish. When Saints John Chrysostom and Augustine–both vehemently opposed to homosexuality–comment on I Corinthians 6.9-10, neither mentions homosexuality.114 St. Augustine’s major apologist, Martin Luther, wrote derisively of homosexuals, but translated “????vo?o????” as “Knabenschänder,” or child molester. In fact, in the Koine Greek of the time of writing, the only translation is “child molester.” The Christian Emperor, Justinian, who herded whole villages into rivers to be baptized so they could die in Christ, believed homosexuality caused earthquakes, famines, and pestilence and legislated homosexual behavior should be subjected to penance much like adultery. His wife, Theodora, avoiding abortion, had many of her illegitimate children murdered, even one taken to a foreign land who returned as an adult.
It is obvious that Robertson is not a Biblical scholar and indicates in his rambling sermon that the New Testament was in Hebrew.

He is jealous and upset because no gay man in their right mind would have him.
twigg
according to the bible sex before marriage is fornication and sex outside of marriage is adultery, why doesn’t phil robertson preach to the 96% of straight americans who have pre-marital and extra-marital affairs ?
RainbowFudgsicle
I can see how straight people would be grossed out by gay sex, but once you get exposed to it enough, it’s not so bad.
A little fudgie on my tippie never really bothered me, in fact I kind of look at it like a little trophy 🙂
It’s all a matter of perspective.
Doughosier
What a surprise! I think I’ll go lie down to get over the shock.
Geeker
Doesn’t this asshat also advocate having sex with underage girls and didn’t he also cheat on his loving and dutiful wife Miss Kay?
PLAYS WELL WITH OTHERS
“They got to where they’re getting hard to find, mainly because these boys are waiting ‘til they get to be about 20 years old before they marry ’em,” Robertson said. “Look, you wait ‘til they get to be 20 years old the only picking that’s going to take place is your pocket. You got to marry these girls when they are about 15 or 16. They’ll pick your ducks.”
Not only are his quotes and hate spewing against Gays disgusting. This abhorrent, reprehensive, nefarious subhuman scum ADMITS TO BEING A PEDOPHILE
Rick
why doesn’t someone just stick a dick in her mouth to shut her up? i’m almost positive she’d like it.
Bad Ass Biker
@murphy0071: Most of these fundamentalist a**hats who rave on and on about the Bible, have never read it and can only cherry pick the parts that they like.
Matt
@RainbowFudgsicle: You’re the reason why people think like that of gays. Anuses and shit are not pleasant, they’re disgusting!
semtex
@RainbowFudgsicle: Do I hear someone volunteering to expose Asshat Phil to the joys of gay sex? I suppose because your being so magnanimous I would be willing to expose my ass to Jase for a little social conditioning.

I UTTERLY DESPISE CHRISTIANS
Danny
C’mon guys, lighten up. Phil Robertson is 68, is a hardshell Protestant, born-again Christian from the Monroe area of Louisiana. He is not stupid, nor is he uneducated. He has a masters in education and has created a thriving business revolving around something he loves, hunting. He preceded Terry Bradshaw at quarterback at Louisiana Tech and started in ’66 and ’67 while he was there. To ask a guy with his background to hold enlightened views on human sexuality is like asking President Obama to host a Tea Party meeting at the White House.
Mezaien
@Ogre Magi: Christianity is a mental illness! Christian are mentally ill!! AND should be exterminated in a concentration camps.
oilgun
@Matt:
You need to be introduced to your prostate gland if you think anuses are not pleasant. 😉
LuckyBlueEyez
Here is a prime example of a fool who just doesn’t know when to shut the hell up!
Sansacro
@Danny: Guess we have different definitions of stupid and uneducated.
ChgoReason
@Danny: Lighten up?! Dude! He holds us gay folks with such contempt, I think he would love to see us all rounded up, chained, lynched, and burned alive, and his sanctimonious ass would say call it a good day. He may have an education, and he does read off the bible but that does not make him an authority on values in America. He is not good people. Just cuz he’s an older citizen does not give him a free pass either. I mean, he may be old but old folks don’t just spew anti-gay rhetoric out of no where. Also, Obama did in fact all 232 members of the Republican Caucus last year to the White House. Tea Party included. (See below.)

He’s a jerk and a phony, and that goes for his religion, too.
Of course he takes on gays, because they’re likely not to be represented in that forum. But he’d never rail against liars who amass fortunes and whose “religion” centers around standing on the necks of others. Heaven forbid he should feel any conviction for failing to follow the exhortations of Jesus: feed the hungry, comfort the afflicted, sell all you have and give the money to the poor, and love those who despise you.
It was entertaining how elebrity magazines nearthed pictures of him and his brothers playing golf while clean-shaven and dressed in preppy whites.
They’re such frauds.
hotshot70
Duck Dynasty nearly got cancelled once. This should get them banned from TV!
SteveDenver
He’s a phony: pictures of him and his brothers, clean-shaven and playing golf in preppy duds have made the circuit.
Now he’s behind the pulpit of the Big Sham: Religion, taking cheap shots at gays and lesbians.
Who cares, he’s a fraud, his LIFE is a lie.
Derek Williams
I am sure lesbians agree with his every word.
Ridpathos
“And the Lord said, “The tasty flower of the vagina is sweeter than the acrid scent of a male’s anal starfish.” Leviticus 25:10.
Found it.
lykeitiz
Why, if I had a nickel for every rat that lived in his beard, I could buy enough soap to clean one of his fingernails!
That said, @SteveDenver: You nailed it!
lykeitiz
@Ridpathos: What Bible is that? I Googled Leviticus 25:10, saw about 15 different versions, and they all pretty much said the same thing: 10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.

This is another publicity stunt. It’s probably not a coincidence that the new DD season starts in a couple of days. A& E probably leaked the tape to TMZ to get them a ratings boost.
yupwhatever
@Matt: Oh please. Like straight guys never think about anal sex with women. Get over it.
jckfmsincty
He sucks duck dick.
AWGTaylor
Why do we care what he thinks. He crawled out of a swamp for lord’s sake.

Please don’t lump all Christians in with this freak and the conservative right. That’s like saying all gays are…fill in the blank. I’m gay and a Christian with a very strong faith. I belong to a gay church that preaches love and open arms.
It is the Christians that speak out of two sides of their mouths and say one thing and do something completely the opposite. You can’t say God doesn’t make mistakes and he created everything and then say that gays are a mistake and wrong and going to hell. If they were true Christians they would not be judging and hating. Totally the opposite of Christ’s message. Don’t slam me! I’m just saying not all Christians are wack jobs.
Jim Guinnessey
Where is this diabolical so-called Christian church located and how evil is it that it allows this bigoted idiot Phil Robertson to give an Easter Sunday sermon there? What is wrong with this goofy congregation to allow it and humor this hate monger?
wizbang_fl
A few things about this guy I find funny. Off all the things he rattled off he represents 3/4 of them.
LOL @lykeitiz it seems that @Ridpathos was going to the same translator as Pastor Pompous Pencilwacker.
But the organized “Christian” church is focused on their own agenda not on following the bible. The tendency is to cherry pick what serves their war cry. The educated separate separate the religion from the rantings. The timid follow the herd and blindly accept everything said from the pulpit as “truth”.
Quote from Ghandi
“I like your Christ but not your Christians, as they are so unlike your Christ.”
Pretty much sums up how I feel about many of the organized churches.
Sebizzar
Lol, ew. I nearly hurled when that church applauded. So outdated, this old man is irrelevant in this progressing world.
Jared Suzume
The crazy part about all of this is, that it is all fake. And A&E knows exactly what they’re doing and what stating these things does for the shows media attention. I just dont watch any A&E programs until they end this charade. (then I take my seat)
traci9y
really why do people watch it?? this idiot ruined atleast 1 of his kids. probably will keep the attempts to ruin his grandchildren as well his son jase copies his dad it is sad to see. as for his legendary quotes about life. it is ignorance at a point of ridiculas to take it seriously.
