There was no way Elton John was going to host Saturday Night Live and not whip out some queeny segments. But that is the entirety of Sir Elton’s comedic appeal, isn’t it?
But Elton’s opening monologue, which included plenty of chatter about his new son Zachary, was quite touching. And funny!

Elton is a sellout and a disgrace to the Gay Community! Not time for the hypocrite.

His behavior was disgraceful and hurt gay people all over America. He has the luxury to day “F**k You” to the world cosseted by his wealth and ego, but his antics reinforce the worst gay stereotypes and becomes fodder for bullies and homophobes everywhere, particularly the GOP which I imagined last night licking their chops as John made a pathetic fool of himself.
Benny
@Jonathan: here fucking here!

The “Knights” skit was my favorite. had me on the floor laughing. His monologue was great too. I think this was the gayest SNL has been in a while. It was good to see him bring LOGO to the masses.
I wish he would have done something with Stefon! That would have been insane!
I think the real joke was that he played into the gay stereo types when you can clearly see he was a poor actor.

I thought he was great on SNL-why is he a disgrace to the community? B/c he sang at Rush Limbaughs funeral,I mean wedding? So what? Who cares-he obvs did it for the $$$.

@mattsy: Yes, the is why.
