Former out-and-proud teen YouTuber shocks fans with latest video

Popular YouTuber Lohanthony has denounced his “same-sex attraction” in order to commit to “Christian celibacy.”

The now 21-year-old, whose real name is Anthony Quintal, used to post videos like this:

However, his latest video strikes a decidedly different tone.

In “Jesus delivers — surviving sexuality”, posted on August 21, Quintal discusses his “sexuality and call to Christian celibacy.”

He opens up about his struggles with drug and alcohol addiction, and reveals that he was sexually abused by an “older boy” when he was a child.

But then he takes a troubling turn by connecting his substance abuse and other addictive tendencies to pursuing his “same-sex attraction,” giving fans cause for concern that he’s undergone some form of religious ex-gay therapy.

“It’s no coincidence that through pursuing my same-sex attraction, I was also addicted to alcohol, I was also addicted to weed, I was also trying hallucinogenics, I was also addicted to money, I was addicted to views, I was addicted to attention.”

Quintal also says his “search for gay love…would ultimately end with disappointment… a void, which was later filled by Jesus Christ.”

Fans are justifiably worried.

“This Lohanthony situation is horrifying I hope he’s OK. Watching this video is seriously making me feel sick,” wrote one.

“I’m so concerned for Lohanthony. It sounds like he’s blaming himself for getting molested as a child. It sounds like he’s blaming getting molested as to why he’s gay. This is concerning as f**k. I don’t care that he’s Christian because I want him to live his life but this is concerning,” wrote another.

Another had this response: “Lohanthony preaching conversion therapy and telling us homosexuality is wrong was not on my 2020 bingo card.”
