We all engage in drag every time we get dressed to leave the house. Whether you want to admit it or not, the way we visually present our identities to the world around us is an intentional process. Even if you’re the person who lazily grabs sweat pants and whatever shirt is at the top of your dresser, it’s a choice. Or as Tatiana would say, “CHOICES.”
And speaking of Tati, only very few of us have the creativity, inclination and courage to be a drag queen. While the world of drag has reached the mainstream through RuPaul’s Drag Race and in ever more popular gay bars across the world, here’s a taste of what some queens are secretly thinking behind all that makeup.
