Remember Cruising, the Al Pacino movie in which he goes undercover in the gay S&M scene to catch a serial killer? No? Well, you should definitely see it…

Anyway, it seems that police officers in Dublin have taken a page from his book – only without the S&M and the serial killer – to stop homophobic attacks. Unofficially (and not too terribly originally) called The Pink Patrol, this group of flat foots cruise the streets in an effort to curb violence against gays, and with excellent results: they’ve made fourteen arrests in three months.

Of course, we love hearing about things like this: not only do we have a thing for cops, but we love a good hero. Now, if only they were gay. And in America. And naked.
