Jinkx Monsoon just shared, via Facebook, the album artwork for her debut album, titled The Inevitable Album. She added: “Debut single coming soon!” and tagged her musical partner, Major Scales, in the photo.
Jinkx announced the album in an interview with Towleroad in August of 2013, saying that she would begin working on the album “in ernest” starting in September. According to this interview, the songs will be written by Major Scales, the same person who helped her produce her stage show The Vaudevillians. It seems that some of the songs from that show will be on the album, along with some showtune parodies and even a dance-rap track. She also added that she will be staying away from dance tracks, saying: “Most of the drag queens that have produced music after Drag Race have all been dance hits… I should give something else a try.
