Well this is certainly one way to sell a book.
In a new memoir titled Tides of Vanity, Jay Quint (pictured right) tells a tale of young adulthood studded with “drugs, sex, vanity, [and] a sordid cast of Miami and L.A. scenesters.”
The book also promises some juicy accounts of “sultry nights being romanced by Anderson Cooper” during which the famous silver fox reportedly laid it on extra thick.
And in what by our accounts is a first (correct us if we’re wrong), a film noir-style video starring the author is making the rounds to generate interest. It features Quint, a dramatic reading by drag queen Manila Luzon, as well as a very unwrapped Pablo Hernandez.

I’m actually watching Anderson’s breaking news coverage right now.
I have no interest in Quint’s life, but if I could just get the Anderson allegations sold separately as a short, I’d read it.

@NG22 Right? I wouldn’t mind being pursued by Mr. Cooper, but I read “laying it on thick” and that’s kind of a turn-off.

Kind of a rare thing to see any of Anderson Cooper’s alleged bf’s or hook-ups willing to talk publicly about him. In fact I think this guy (if he’s on the level) is the only one who has ever attempted to do it, besides that Real World guy a few years back, and even he declined to go into details. Anderson has some good lawyers.

I read the book and commend the author for doing a great marketing job. Anderson Cooper is mentioned in maybe 10 of the 120+ pages and all that happens is they make out (no sex, no salacious details) while watching a movie in a hotel room.
Book is generally a snoozefest. Some nobody complaining about his parents and love life.

@eft45: im sure they did more but he knew he was pushing it by naming Anderson cooper and giving out details of there make up session to begin with. This doesn’t happen often that a living gay celebrity out or not is named in a book

Either way, the book is a lot less interesting or salacious than the articles about it would have you believe. Like, did any of these reporters/writers actually read it themselves?
