After blacklisting one Iowa news station and walking away from another that dared ask her about her husband’s Christian counseling center, Rep. Michele Bachmann still refused to answer questions about the clinic at a National Press Club event today. And then offered a bullshit reason for not doing so.
“I’m running for the presidency of the United States,” Bachmann said. “My husband is not running for the presidency, neither are my children, neither is our business, neither are our foster children… I’m more than happy to stand for questions on running for the presidency of the United States.”
The problem, of course, is that their “business” has received Medicaid dollars to administer an ex-gay therapy that’s been discredited by some of the largest professional psychological, pediatric and psychiatric organizations in the world. And, of course, Bachmann has run on a campaign against government money being funneled into the private sector. Seems like a great topic to ask her about. Maybe that’s why she’s stonewalling?
How about we take this to the next level?

“Remember it was Michele Obama who said she is only recently proud of her country and so these are very anti-American views. That’s not the way that most Americans feel about our country.” – Michelle Bachmann, commenting on the views of a presidential candidate’s spouse in 2008 on on the MSNBC program Hardball with Chris Matthews.

“… discredited by about four of the world’s largest professional psychological, pediatric, and psychiatric organizations in the world.”
World’s largest professional psychological, pediatric, and psychiatric organizations in the world?

How funny that her husband has a DIRECT connecton with the govt. that she is running to lead and yet she claims that that is irrelevent.
So basically, she wants to run for president, but is refusing to answer any question that she doesn’t have a good answer for.
I’m tired of this, if somebody wants to lead this nation then they need to be willing to let the news go up their colon with a microscope. She is a liar, and he is a crook.

Michelle “Crazy Eyes” Bachmann may be running for president but what she should be doing is running to the nearest psychiatrist to begin treatment. The broad is nuts. No sane person says “God spoke to me and said, “Michelle, I want you to run for Congress.””

Answer the fucking question…
PLAINTOM
Doesn’t she sound robotic when she goes into defense mode?
Hyhybt
Has she not said that women should defer to their husbands? (If I’m wrong about that, please correct me!) If so, then what her husband says and does becomes far more important than it is for other candidates.
Sebastian
Michelle Bachman is a very intelligent, strong woman. She also happens to be quite beautiful. Her views on the economy and social programs are very good for the USA. Her points of view are better then any republican or democrate. She will win because in the end thruth always wins. I thank Dr Marcus Bachman for the new therapy that he has been performing at his clinic. Thank you Marcky and can I get dressed now?

“Neither IS our foster children”. Wow. I personally like a candidate who can speak proper english. Maybe that’s just me.
Dumb bitch.

tell the bitch and her queen to return the fucking money and then we will STFU

Tough shit Cunt.

freedom is a bitch huh?

By saying nothing she is failing to defend her position, thereby indicating that she supports the methods & philosophies. We can stop questioning her and just accept the fact: She wants the homos dead.
PLAINTOM
The ironic thing is her business was the only jobs creation credential she could talk about. It was repeated constantly in her stump speech. Want a presidential question about you, why did you lie about your jobs credentials when you didn’t even know what was occurring in the family business?
Shannon1981
LOL This bitch needs to STFU, not the other way around. Her business is part of her. The questions are fair game. Hope the reporters keep ’em coming.
Ian
@ewe: 🙂 I’m with you. I’m usually civil but this bitch makes me angry. So to Michelle I say… Answer the question, ya nasty cunt.

Standard canned response to what she will no doubt label as a liberal media gotcha question . . . I am running for the President of the United States of America . . .

@dvlaries: SING OUT LOUISE!

Michele Bachmann, your fledgling campaign to be President is a disaster. You started off well but now you’re avoiding questions. You may as well save yourself a lot of money and pull out of the race, honey.
Gaytorium
Michelle Bachmann is, of course, insane. I do wonder whether or not I should hope she wins the nomination because if she wins then Obama is a shoe-in. But if something were to somehow come out about Obama I wouldn’t want to see this lunatic waltz into the White House. So I’m of two minds.
topsyturvy
And you stay the fuck out of my bedroom!
(How much government money did she get for those foster children?)
http://adoption.about.com/od/financialmatters/a/whatsubsidy.htm
What Is a Foster Care Subsidy?
Subsidy, by definition, is a financial grant provided by the government. Foster care subsidy is a predetermined amount of money sent by the government to the foster parents on a monthly basis for the care of the foster children that have been placed within the foster home.
Where Does the Money Come From?
Within the United States the money comes from each individual state’s budget that has been set aside for the use of foster care. County and federal monies may also make up the foster care budget.
Daez
@topsyturvy: Might want to note that foster children are also immediately eligible for grocery and medical assistance. That eligibility does not take into account the income of the foster parents or the subsidy granted to those foster parents for the purpose of taking care of the child.
So in short, while you have next to zero out of pocket expenses you still get around $500-$1000 every month per child. Seems odd that someone taking that would then complain about government spending, doesn’t it?
xander
The Bachmanns were not only foster parents, they received higher daily rates than the normal housing/food amounts, by becoming certified by their state as providers of counseling-type treatment to the women.
Jack
LOL I’d actually love to go to one of those clinics and corrupt the people who are making the most progress lol I’d say they’re just big gay sex orgies at those centres all the time haha

@dvlaries: amen

We should grant her her wish… as soon as she deletes all references to him from her campaign web site, bans him from all campaign appearances with her, removes him from the campaign strategy position she has assigned him to, and ceases all mention of him in public.
Steve
So, now Michele Bachmann is also opposed to Freedom-of-Speech, and the First Amendment?
Her personal choices, especially her choice of spouse, is indicative of her judgement.
Her campaign choices, especially when she gets angry and vents, are indicative of her character, her judgement, and her qualifications.
Clearly, she lacks character, judgement, qualifications, and any sense of constitutional law or history.
meego
What a creepy looking hag!

She and her husband are a united front. All marriages are supposed to be. Therefore who she has in her back-pocket is important.
Roman
O’Bachmann is a hypocrite. She can continue to try and run and hide her legacy of hate, government handouts and the business she owns with Ladybird Marcus that has abused Gay clients. It’s absolutely relevant.
Abirdwillingtobeitself
Michele is an idiot who can’t speak without getting coached.

This braindead tw@t is the epitome of everything that is wrong with America these days. Thankfully most Americans would agree with me.
xander
Based on Mrs Bachmann’s own religious beliefs, she is supposed to submit to her husband, so in essence Marcus would be the de facto POTUS. Mr Bachmann was the one who decided she would pursue law school, after all.
And if she started telling anyone in the ER about how Jesus ‘tells’ her to do this or do that, she could very well be given ‘vitamin H’ (Haldol = antipsychotic med.) just like the other patients who claim similar divine hallucinations. Migraines would be the very least of her woes.
Skeloric
As a Minnesotan, this horrid piece of dung has been stinking up our state for way too long.
Give her a chance and she’ll be the first female Hitler.
Her husband is already in charge of the American equivalent of Dauchau (his “therapy” clinic).
Kawneekwa
How much moola did the Gov give her to foster 26 little girls? And why just girls? That is just creepy, creey, creepy.
Looser
What have you done to improve your community lately? Instead of sitting online typing stupid comments against someone who at least is putting themselves out there.
And, no, I’m not a fan of Bachman. And I’m not a fan of Obama. It would be nice to have real leadership locally and at the federal level.
