Moving Forward

“This Thursday, June 26, the House Education and Labor Subcommittee on Heath, Employment, Labor, and Pensions will hold the first-ever congressional hearing on transgender issues and gender identity discrimination in the workplace. Representative Robert Andrews (D-NJ) will chair this historic hearing, and Retired Army Colonel Diane Schroer, an ACLU client, will serve as a witness. The ACLU is currently representing Schroer in a Title VII sex discrimination lawsuit against the Library of Congress. The hearing will take place on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. EDT.” [HRC and ACLU]
