That former Genre editor Neal Boulton, seen here with wife Claire Davis (who obviously has the patience of a bird of paradise) continues filming his series Bastard Life in the hopes that a network will pick it up and torture American audiences with tales of bisexuality. “And we’ll be testing out the toys at Babeland in SoHo,” quips Boulton. “Hey, anything to make our viewers better in bed.” Raise your hand if you have any interest. I would have to see the program first, but I think we need to tear down the walls that surround the bisexual community which causes it to not be accepted by either the hetero or homo community.

@galefan2004: I’m with you. Why has Queerty consistently demonstrated a snarkier-than-thou editorial tone in any and all bisexuality related articles? If you have issues with Boulton, that’s perfectly understandable, but bisexuality in general? You’re no better than a straight rag complaining about Queer as Folk’s torturous tales of gayness.
If I seem overly upset about this, it’s not because this example is particularly egregious, but because it’s part of a continued issue. I often link stories from Queerty to other friends of mine, but it’s getting to the point where I’d rather refer them to Queerty’s source than here.

i find myself coming here less and less. Fun fact: I am bisexual. Fun fact 2: I exist. And I’m not confused, either.

@Kid A: They take a “snarkier-than-thou” attitude simply because its a gay site and like it or not, most gay men view bisexuals that way. The consensus in the gay community seems to be that bisexuals are just gays in training that need to come off the fence. They don’t realize that some people are truly bisexual and truly do like both sexes. Perhaps there is some, for lack of a better term, jealousy because they feel that these people can more easily assimilate with the hetero population and have a better chance of being happy in an “opposite marriage”. There are some fabulous bisexual blog sites which I appreciate although I’m not bisexual myself.
WTF
While I can’t speak to their stance on Bi’s, I can say that this site and many others just simply don’t like Boulton, whom they view as a total tool. I would have to agree.

@WTF:
No doubt in your “mind” the jews are responsible for that, too.
bisexual and proud
I am bisexual and dont know anything about this guy or this movie he’s doing, just as long as he dosent portray a bi person as a felanderer or in nonmonagmnous relationhips just screwing everyone that moves. while there are bi’s who will screw everything that moves there are also straights who do the same thing and gays as well, i am a monagamous person and im bisexual.
I'm Outta Here
Yeah, I’ve got to agree with the majority of commenters here. This place really has become one of the most pathetic GLBT sites around. The biphobic snarkmeisters who write and comment here are clearly just self-hating old queens (you can practically smell the mothballs…). They scream for acceptance but won’t give it to anyone else. I totally agree with Kid A- it’s not just this article- it’s rampant throughout the site, article after article. To the DECENT gay guys here, no offense intended. But I’d suggest you find a site that is more intent on bringing the GLBT community together and moving it forward, instead of wallowing in petty, hateful bitchiness. I know I will.
