As we’ve all learned by now, YouTube is for handing out advice. And that includes from long-distance life coach Davey Wavey, who has a whole list of things to never ask a gay dude. Let’s see how many stereotypes we can address in a single clip!
Whereas vlogger John was handing out tips for gays (about what not to do in a gay bar), Davey’s tips are for heterosexuals. Which isn’t the target audience of this website, so let’s see what questions You People would never ask Davey Wavey.

Meh. I’d drop the Davey features, Queerty, if you don’t really like him. You find him irritating, and I find him irritating. He looks like a dream-boy, talks like a miss thang, he’s shallow but all he talks about is how humble and deep he is. I’ve unsubscribed from his blog, but the irony is that I heard about him here. You’re doing nothing but giving him free promotion and pipelining a sympathetic audience straight to him.

Ah, Mr Wavey graces us with his wisdom yet again. A week wouldn’t be the same without knowing what’s on his mind…
His premise is wrong this time, however. I’d rather people *ask* the “stupid questions” than just walk around with all the misinformation they hear about the gays at school, at home, in church,…etc.
A big, scary part of coming out is learning to answer those questions. Just making them taboo or off limits means the heteros will continue tothink we’re Queer because we hate the opposite sex, or that it’s “just a phase.” Sure, people ought to know better, but they don’t, so putting a face and a story and the truth in front of them DOES help and does matter.

@B: I’m not a huge fan of the Daily Wavey, because I strongly suspect he speaks BEFORE thinking. He’s fun. He spends time at the gym, and eats a low fat diet…..whatever. But I think he isn’t the best spokesperson for his generation.
Surely there are other commentators out there, somewhere, who have a more informed viewpoint, and I wish Queerty would highlight them, in rotation.
Question is: does he get clicks because he says thoughtful and interesting things OR because he goes topless? My take on it is that Queerty should widen the base of folks who make social commentary. I care about good ideas more than cut abs.

I listened to one of vids about a year ago. He’s a living, breathing stereotype that is completely uninteresting. We should all start up a collection, and pay him to put a shirt on. There is nothing appealing about that body.
