Whether or not you agree that Iggy Azalea deserved all the backlash she got from LGBT groups over her so-called homophobic Tweets, can we all just agree that it’s for the common good that she won’t be playing this year’s Pittsburgh Pride?
Of course, her very late exit from the program left a big empty headline spot for the festival to book.
But have no fear, Nick Jonas is here. He heard about the Iggy drama and contacted the festival, offering to step in last-minute and fill the slot. We’d say there are a few other slots we wouldn’t mind him filling, be we wouldn’t do that. Would we?
“When I heard about the difficult position Pittsburgh Pride was in just days before their event, I knew I had to find a way to help,” he said in a statement on Thursday.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
“I’m excited to do what I can to support the LGBT community in Pittsburgh, and I look forward to seeing you this Saturday as we celebrate together.”
Jonas to the rescue.
Darcy John
I do love him
Greg W Chaffin

Who needs ugly iggy when you’ve got Gorgeous Jonas
Mark Ilvonen
that’s more like it!
grahambower
Shouldn’t he be wearing a Steelers jacket, rather than a Colts jacket then?
Corey J Hodges
And let the queerbaiting continue…
Brian Hunter

NoCagada
Just come out, Nicky
Richard Grant Muir
Oh, do only gay men attend Pittsburgh Pride? Way to be inclusive, Queerty.
Desert Boy
Nick Jonas — perfection. Iggy, who?
Cam
Who would have thought a few years ago that Miley Cyrus and one of the Jonas Brothers would become two major straight allies? Good for them!
Mark Jorge
Just have him naked and I am there.
Dusty Lee
Wtf does he have to do with gay pride?
John Smith
Like I needed another reason to love this lil’ dude, lol. It’s great to have such committed straight allies as him.
misterhollywood
He’s adorable. I also like that he continues to not shave off his chest hair!
Avery Alvarez
Nick Jonas has shown himself time and time again to be an ally.
Plus he’s quite the hottie. His latest album is pretty good, too.
Now I only wish that i could be in Pittsburgh for Pride!
Kyle Diakos
He is too damn fine. Ugh.
SteveDenver
“A helping hand is worth a million prayers.”
Translated: One Nick Jonas is worth a million Iggy Whats-its.”
Cesar Fortun
No.
He needs the publicity, too.
Thanks Gay Pride Pittsburgh.
Louis
Such a crush on this guy intelligent gorgeous genuinely sweet and very gay friendly and most of all supportive of our community and rights as human beings.
Kirk Montrealer

Hot body.
Class act.
Great ally.
Warren Isaac
I had plenty of reasons before seeing this. You rock Nick Jonas!
Caramelo
I guess I’m the only one fed up with Nick Jonas’ obvious queerbaiting. He tries way too hard to come off like he’s down with the gays, but as long as the thirsty homos eat it up, then hey…
Blackceo
He is so damn cute.
briancampell
Love Nick Jonas. Glad he is doing this for Pittsburgh Pride. Now maybe we can see an animated GIF of him wearing a wet Steelers t-shirt instead of an Indianapolis Colts Jacket. 🙂

I truly hope see means what see has stated about growing up and knows better now. Everyone has made mistakes, said and done things we aren’t proud of in our life’s. We all deserve a second chance to undo this mistakes. The LGBT community is for the most part the biggest group with the biggest hearts and can for give if given the chance.
D P
Yay! What a studmuffin.
billywonka
I’d be happy to show him my personal thanks….
corey
i always thought Nick was the best looking, when i saw all the attention one of the others got all the time like a decade ago, i couldnt see wha all the fuss was about, but again, on the other hand, Nick has always been my man, and once he came out of his goody-goody shell, he went from a hot teen to a even hotter Man, just wish he didnt shave his chest some times….
jwtraveler
@Caramelo: So what you’re saying is that you’d like him better if he were a little more homophobic. Have I got that right?
Caramelo
@jwtraveler: What I’d like is for him not to try to hard. You must not be keeping up to date on all his antics, I swear you white gays eat up anything put in front of you.
Sluggo2007
@Caramelo: And you non-white gays eat up anything that isn’t non-white.
Caramelo
@Sluggo2007: We have to savor what little scraps we get, now don’t we?
Soldier_Medic
WOW! REALLY!??!,REALLY!??!
Well, before I come across as snarky, I just wanted to encourage some perspective.
I’ve always frayed away from comments on the “gay friendly” celebrities, especially the “hot ones” that grab our attention.
I’m in my late 40’s. I’ve seen guys being pushed out of windows for being gay in the military, so I REALLY appreciate the heterosexual celebrities highlighting and supporting gay causes.
When I moved to California almost a decade ago, I was flabbergasted when I heard Paris Hilton was to be the Grand Marshal for the Pride Parade in LA.
I just don’t want an incident like whe she later is overheard making these homophobic rants about “Gays having AIDS because they sleep around so much” ( Like she should talk) slap the community in the face with a big d!ck.
I’m not one for outing anyone. Still, I know of one “gay friendly”poster boy in particular, will maybe inform the public in his own time, he’s more than just gay friendly.
“I” personally don’t care, but fickled people, who gobble him up now, I can only imagine what they would say if he does, and the public has grown tired of him. Veteran or not.
DarkZephyr
@NoCagada: @Soldier_Medic: It sucks when heterosexuals assume that anyone who is an LGBT ally MUST secretly be LGBT. So it sucks even worse when LGBT people perpetuate that myth.
Soldier_Medic
@DarkZephyr:
I’ll let THAT person speak for himself.
The point was the encouragement of us all to put things into perspective in relation to whom we look to in hosting events that represent us.
nemesis9
He “saved” Pittsburgh pride? Was the whole point of Pittsburgh pride to see Iggy Azalea? Jesus Christ, Queerty. You’re the worst.
