October is the American Humane Association’s Adopt-A-Dog Month and out writer Wade Rouse has just released I’m Not the Biggest Bitch in This Relationship, a collection of essays devoted to Man’s Best Friend.
It’s got an intro by Chelsea Handler’s pooch, Chunk (Handler recently gave the dog anthology a shout-out on her show), and stories from queer humorists like Rita Mae Brown, Alec Mapa, Jeff Marx, Bob Smith and Eddie Sarfaty.
Rouse is donating half of the book’s royalties to the Humane Society, so if you can’t take a puppy home this month, grab a copy today!
Below is a copy of Rouse with his dog, Marge. Honestly, we wouldn’t mind if either curled up in bed with us and licked our face.

This could have been a “post pictures of your adorable pet.” But Queerty took our picture-posting privileges away.
So you’ll just have to imagine how goddam cute my dog is.

Nice article, but how is the header tied in with the article? Heading is clearly stolen from Groucho Marx – “Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend. Inside of a dog it’s too dark to read.”
