Gregory Quinlin, the president of ex-gay group PFOX, might have more in common than GOProud than you think. Both groups have a problem with all these left-gays. And neither groups supports the legalization of gay marriage. But no matter what your criticism of GOProud may be, at least they’re not challenging the idea that heterosexuals and homosexuals choose who they’re attracted to. I don’t think?

Lets just pretend that what this guy says is true…
Well, people aren’t BORN into their religion and yet they still demand that everybody be tolerant of their religious beliefs.
So even though this guy is full of crap, even if he was right and sexuality is a choice, isn’t the person you choose to love a decision at least as deserving of respect as your CHOICE of religion?
This guy can go fuck himself.
Robbie K
It is with “self-determination” and strong affirmation that I say you were born “biologically” an idiot.
mindlesschatterer
Isn’t this country based on the right to choose whatever the hell you want to do with your life? This guy chooses to be an asshole trying to ruin other people’s lives. That is his choice.
McMike
Give me a f’n break. So this guy’s alternative to the “homosexual lifestyle” is to be celibate?
btw, there are countless scientific studies which prove sexual orientation is genetic and not one that indicates it’s a choice.
McMike
btw, I have “proof” I was born gay since I was being called a ‘fag’ by the time I was in 2nd grade, before I even knew there was a difference between homosexuals and heterosexuals. I was being labeled a ‘fag’ before puberty even hit me and before I developed sexual attractions to others. But, hey you know, that’s what you get when you’re in a Catholic private school.
Beau Colby
WHY would ANYONE “choose” to be gay when there are people out there that “shame” them? I ask myself WHY am I NOT str8!? It is SIMPLY because I am gay. No explanation is needed to those who do not agree. If I was able to be str8, I would be so but, I am NOT. I do not care what people think for you see, this is MY life, NOT theirs to live. Only hypocrites and ignorant people do not believe someone is born “this” way. Other than that…let us just say STUPID!…BC
Beau Colby
Oh yeah,…ask ANYONE when did THEY get the survey and when did THEY choose “str8? Does ALL the str8 people remember getting one and “choosing” str8 over gay? I should think not. It is just a NATURAL “instinct”. [n. inBORN impulse or propensity; unconscious skill; intuition. Websters.] Educate thyself…BC

@Cam: Did you even listen to him? He’s fine with people being gay. He just wants his choice to deny his same-sex attractions to likewise be respected.
justiceontherocks
This guy sucked me off last night in a restaurant men’s room. I’d know those BJ lips anywhere.
Francis
The truth really is, people who say that sexuality is a choice, are very likely to be making that choice in their lives, and projecting that choice on others. It’s that simple. Otherwise, they wouldn’t know or come to the conclusion sexuality is a choice.
ewe
You mean straight guys really want me and are having tremendous anxiety holding back from touching me up with kisses, hugs and pillow talk?
ewe
@McMike: And you’re FABULOUS!
GregorVonK
Very simple. If he’s saying that he has completely “changed” his orientation and is now completely satisfied in a heterosexual relationship, then he was almost certainly ALWAYS mid-range on the Kinsey scale anyway (i.e. “bi”). If he’s saying that he is primarily attracted to men, but “chooses” not to have sex w/ them, then he is not an EX-gay. He’s a CELIBATE gay.
It’s his business, BUT his organization’s name is a complete misnomer.

@Cam: I’ve always wondered why nature vs. nurture was always such an important argument. The argument’s results or implications really have no impact over whether or not gay amrriage should be legalized. We tolerate all kinds of choices, so the idea that homosexuality (if it were a choice) is somehow different is unfounded and the attempt to bring it up in political discourse as if it’s some intellectual, indestructible argument is both abffling and stupid.
the crustybastard
I challenge PFOX President Gregory Quinlin to prove he isn’t still attracted to men.
