PHOTOS: Deep, deep in the Andy Warhol archives — to the immediate right of Candy Darling’s jumpsuits — were over 200 photographs, prints and drawings focused primarily on the male nude. Sure, we can say the same thing, but we’re not Andy Warhol. And starting today, you can bid on some of these private privates through Christies online auction, “For Members Only: Eyes on the Guise.”

The auction was planned to coincide with Pride Month, Warhol being an early and active supporter of LGBT rights and an early and active homosexual.

“In 1984, Andy participated in New York’s Gay Day parade (as they called it then). He took photos,  and the pride they displayed then is the pride which we feel today,” said Joel Wachs, President of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.

The auction will run through June 27 with bids starting around $800. So anyone (with $800 lying around) can get their hands on some of this Warhol work, the majority of which hasn’t been seen in public.
