Thanks, One Million Moms, for giving Ellen Degeneres so much attention. Along with her wildly hilarious daytime talk show, your contribution has helped her to move into a $26.5M mansion in Santa Barbara with her wife, Portia de Rossi.
So cute!
TMZ is reporting that Ellen and Portia snagged this 10,522 square foot home (their eighth!) in Montecito last week, and we have to agree when they say “it’s the kind of house 99.999% of the world will never see.” Until now!
Feast your eyes on this not-so-humble abode, boasting six bedrooms, six bathrooms, 13 gorgeous acres of land, a pool with an ocean view, and NINE FIREPLACES. Who knew two lesbians could go through that much wood?!
If you still don’t feel poor after looking at the shots below, check out the rest on TMZ.

It’s lovely, but they were JUST joking today that they move all the time. Who knows if they will stay there, Ellen seems to have a thing for buying and selling.

I am Sooo glad that the headline was not a “breakup” story….shew love them two,not really digging the house though… Geez you’ll have to pack a lunch to go to the other side of the freaking kitchen!

It’s the life of the 1%. Completely enviable.

Just proves that even gays can create foundations and avoid paying taxes to live like royalty…..

It’s lovely and they have good taste, but it seems a bit overpriced. The price for living in paradise I guess. Santa Barbara is better than Malibu

Wow, a 26 million dollar home?!

It’s just not right. Who can justify that given the poverty we have in these times?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Ellen has the best timing in stand up. She makes the mundane things funny with a pause or cadence.
That said, the house is pure vulgarity. Culturally, LA is a trailer park. And Hollywood is a magnet for status climbing hicks.
You can get a perfectly comfortable place for a couple million. And an educated person would spend the rest on helping others. But again, we’re talking about Hollywood proles who mistake money for class.

I hope you find happiness and fulfillment in your new home. Santa Barbara is beautiful. Good luck to you both.
