Art pieces are getting their finishing touches, RVs are being packed tight, and last-minute excuses for a week off of work are still being formulated. Yes, Burning Man is almost here. If you’re planning on hitting the playa this year, be sure to check out the GayCities guide to the festival, where you’ll find lots of info for queer events happening all week. The whole thing’s pretty damn queer itself, but we’d definitely recommend checking out some parties at the Comfort & Joy camp, like Honey Dusted and Evening Deelight. Here’s some shots from past burns for those left behind (most, it would seem, by choice).
Are you going this year? Been before? Wouldn’t be caught dead making the dusty pilgrimage? We want to hear from you!

As a burner, I can assure you a lot of those people dressed in what we might think are gay outfits are dressed perfectly normally for BM. Less is more.

camped with Comfort and Joy in 2005 and 2006. It’s definitely the place to be to meet hotties and fool around while your friends are looking for you. Often some very nice people involved with the camp. My only complaint is that it’s gotten much bigger over the years and seems to be going through some growing pains. But the dayglo installations lit up by black light at night (by Chickpea) are not to be missed. Party boys will love this camp.

Please, please, please get a better slideshow widget! I get so sick of refreshing the entire page, that I just quit looking.

That “Guide to the Festival” isn’t worth linking to. “It’s going to be AWESOME” is not a guide. It’s a sentence.

@Kevin: The guide breaks down all the different parties, which is super useful!
