So that’s too bad about the Michigan campground defaced with a swastika and anti-gay graffiti. But like most attempts at tormenting the gays, the vandals showed their lack of cognitive function in one obvious way: If there is any place the gays are wanted, it’s at an outdoor campground.

I don’t know if the author realizes this, but this campground (Campit) is a GAY campground, and this was vandalism targeting gays. Not to mention it is right outside Saugatuck, one of the most gay-friendly resort towns in the midwest, if not the entire damn country. I encourage anyone within driving distance to check out Campit sometime this summer (http://www.campitresort.com/); it is amazingly cheap, and has the friendliest, most jovial atmosphere I’ve ever seen.
Now the question remains… why target the campground NOW? People won’t even be there for a few weeks still!

My partner and I (of 30 years) love to camp. Bought a new 38′ Motor-home last fall. Just got back from the Keys. Planning on camping at Campit several weekends this summer.
We (gays) don’t all hang out in bars to socialize.

…sometimes I feel like Queerty is more offensive than the hate crimes they report about.

An *outdoor* campground, you say? We have indoor campgrounds now?
