Very funny. A bit of a waste of money when funds are needed for Gay and AIDS charities. Kind of like life is one big Gay Pride Parade and we have all of our rights and the world is safe and AIDS is cured. But hey, someone dropped the soap!
@Don’tBlameMeIVotedForHillary: There’s so much backwards with your annoyance. Yes, there are plenty of charities that still need our support. Yes, there are still civil rights challenges to meet. But if we don’t live in the open, make ourselves known, and accept our selves and our sexuality openly we will never meet those challenges.
This team is doing powerful work just by being in the public eye, informing people of who they are, and inviting others to join them. Their advertisement pokes fun at themselves, and the cultural stereotypes that need to be challenged. If you’re suggesting they should have donated their advertising budget to charity, That makes little sense, as without advertising and investment they wouldn’t be able to recruit or exist.
I don’t know if their team as a group donates to any charity (although I wouldn’t be surprised if they do), but Charity donations are not the only way to affect change.
@Don’tBlameMeIVotedForHillary, WTF are you talking about? What is your point? Don’t play rugby till there’s a cure for AIDS?
I honestly don’t know what you’re on about.
Maybe you shouldn’t be reading blogs, much less making idiotic posts on them, until there’s marriage equality. Maybe you shouldn’t watch TV until cancer is a thing of the past.
Sad to say that there may never be a cure! It’s money to be made by those pharmaceuticals money hungry dushbags. A cure means no more expensive meds! Nothing wrong with a little fun!
I met my BF/hubby at an Old Blues (Cal Berkeley’s alumni rugby club with multiple national titles) match in Golden Gate Park 24 years ago — it was our first date!

@theo You are right and so am I – what a quandary! You just want a fight with me, though. I don’t really care about you.
@Mike I think you are projecting and come across as a reactionary simpleton of either/or imperatives with no shades of gray. I am just pointing out priorities while acknowledging that the ad is in fact “Funny” as it’s stated purpose. Dumb ass!
DO ANY OF YOU GET OFF YOUR GELATINOUS ASSES AND GO TO A GAY BAR OR COMMUNITY CENTER?
The “Gods’ Love We Deliver” and “Gay Men’s Health Crisis” donation cans have been replaced with “Buy us Uniforms or We will Simply Die!”
Why the hell would I want to go to a gay bar or community centre? My ass is not gelatinous, and I have Wii Fit to thank for that. I’m going to continue being a hermit. I’m sure we gays will have rights at some point, but right now I’m more concerned with what to put in my sandwich.
@dontblamemeivotedforhillary: Why do people still bother with this douchebag? He just wishes he could be the only gay guy in the universe so that he could be a globally celebrated/hated treasure and everyone can pay attention too him and his ‘gelatinous ass’.
Fuck off dude. Oh, and I’m sure Mike will enjoy fucking his bf…jealous are we?
As to Doubtblamemeivotedforhillary, he’s been off his Kool-Aid since Hillary lost and, since Obama and company have failed so far to enact health care reform, Dontblame has been unable to get the necessary psychotherapy and electrical shock treatments he so desperately needs. So have a little compassion until he can get his “douchebagness” eradicated.
We should all stay at home and never go out, only to work and never use our own money for our own luxuries and only focus on the troubles of other people in the world.
Sorry, but we’re not all Jesus.
