This should come as no surprise, but a senior preacher man’s upset over a possible Bishop appointment for openly gay Jeffrey John (pictured).
Canon Peter Jones claims that John’s ascension would force people from the Church of Wales. Because, you know, the gays are evil monsters from the seventh circle of hell.
Said Jones:
Jeffrey John is a strong advocate of changing the Church’s traditional teaching on homosexuality and I accept the teaching of holy scripture that homosexual acts are wrong.
Therefore to have someone deliberately seek to undermine that teaching – that is clearly not someone who is suitable to hold office as a bishop in the Church of God.

We’re saying that homosexual acts are sinful and wrong and those who advocate a change in the Church’s position are not appropriate people to be leaders in the Church.

I believe tradition dictates that the gays go the Ninth Circle (the Circle of Pederasts), not the Seventh. Back in my day, there was a very famous chicken/hustler bar down in Greenwich Village called The Ninth Circle – a reference to the Divine Comedy.

There was a Channel 4 undercover investigation of what the main Mosque in london was teaching kids – there was one last year which found horrific attitudes and teaching that gays should be killed etc and that muslims must not mix with non-believers – and this recent expose investigated the women’s section and the reporter filmed women muslims teaching KIDS that gays should be killed.

It’s rather difficult for one man to defend against five, where the five have knives and bottles. Unless you’re a superhero with superstrength. Which is somewhat unlikely.
It’s funny that the church in Cymru has generally been a bit more liberal than its Saesneg counterpart. Goes to show that even us Welshies have our people stuck in the past.
