Westminster’s Political Gays Get Their Own Not-So-Secret Society

Washington D.C.’s gays might have an exclusive email list, but the gays working in Britain’s House of Lords and House of Commons have something new called ParliOut, “a forum for providing mutual support and discussing issues,” which is code for “reassuring people that they are not the only gay in the Westminster village.” (Say it in a British accent; it sounds less dreadful.) To join, you must streak through the lobby of the Palace of Westminster, do twenty push-ups, and then snap a photo of yourself with Oliver Cromwell’s statue.
