Who knows if The Huffington Post was even paying Hilary Rosen a fee for her web musings, which she hasn’t even filed since January. But now that the lesbian former RIAA chief is pulling in big bucks as BP’s “crisis communicator” for its Gulf oil spill, the site for liberals and nip slip enthusiasts has terminated Rosen’s post as Washington editor-at-large. The decision was mutual, we’re assured. And Arianna Huffington, the site’s chief, also assures us, “of course, Hilary’s work with BP has had zero effect on our coverage of the company or the disaster in the gulf. Comprehensive and hard-hitting, our coverage speaks for itself.” For example:

Good for the Huffington Post.
Losing her job at a news website should be the LEAST of Rosen’s worries–I hope the souls of every single sea creature, coastal animal, and unemployed fisherman haunts her dreams at night. Although she probably doesn’t sleep, just hangs upside-down like a bat and recharges her android parts.

Queerty, the website, seriously needs a new web interface/design. The main page is fine: all stories are displayed and organized clearly, with the reader able to scroll down and perceive what’s going on. Fine. But whenever you click on an article that has either accompanying photographs or lists, you’re forced to click several new pages. For instance, the recent post on the NewNowNext Awards had an additional 11 mothafuckin pages — each with one photograph! Not only is it organizationally retarded, it’s a conceptual stillborn — what the hell is the point? Can you not afford something a little tidier and more accessible, or at least something that doesn’t challenge my computer so much? Anyway, yeah, this is perhaps a misguided rant, but maybe voicing this perspective will inspire positive change i.e. a more practical web design experience that will please your faithful readers.

Fuck this sell-out greedy bitch whore. She did it before when she was a shill for the RIAA’s sue-spree against p2p users, and now she’s in bed with big oil?
It galls me that she is even associated with the LGBTQ community. What good is a GLAAD or HRC or what ever the fuck else spokesperson when they are in bed with people who are by all accounts awful human beings (who might be so kind as to throw the gays a bone once in a while). Just cuz your a lez and on the board of HRC doesn’t get you a free pass to collaborate with the devil.

The lies of Rosen, a paid political prostitute, are as lame as those of Obama about this spill.
Obama is just playing games.
He’s afraid that his bungling of the spill, on top of his homohating, his union busting, his hamfisted mishandling of the economic crisis, his mass murder of civilians from Palestine to Pakistan and his total sellout of health care will be the end of ‘Hopey Changey’.
He’s right.
“I had a lot of hope for Obama, but it’s not panning out.”
-Artist Shepard Fairey who created the famous “Hope” image of Obama during the 2008 campaign. (Political Wire)
The Exxon Valdez oil spill occurred a little over 20 years ago in Prince William Sound, Alaska. Exxon still hasn’t paid for it and never will. No Exxon officials were tried for crimes against humanity. BP and Haliburton won’t be nationalized without compensation and their CEO won’t rot in jail.
That spill and this one will elicit the usual responses from political hustlers like Obama and the Congress. But at the end of the day it’s the looter class that owns, not influence or manipulates, but owns Congress, the Supremes, the WH and both parties. Their legislators make the laws. Their WH enforces them. Their judges rule on them. Without economic democracy for working people, socialist democracy, there is no political democracy.
The US used to be a beacon of light to the world. That ended by degrees between the Civil War and the Spanish American War when the looter class consolidated its power and began building the empire we see today with 750 plus US military bases around the world. Now the US is the biggest Banana Republic of them all, and like Humpty Dumpty…

MAybe she should marry Elton John–It’s a double sell-out

@David– They’ve known since they switched to this gawd-awful design that it is gawd-awful, and they don’t care, they *want* to make you click 75 times so they can earn their 1/10 of a penny or whatever for each fucking click. I don’t even pay attention to their beefcake anymore–too poorly done and effortful. Which means I hardly ever do more than scan the headlines and move on to blogs that matter.

This is not surprising from Hillary Rosen. Her partner by the way was the long time director of HRC, Birch was her last name. This woman will sell her principles for money. With friends like these who needs enemies. No money is worth what is happening to the animals and the gulf with this spill.

Maybe I’m missing something…..does Hilary Rosen have any children? If so, who cares for them while’s she’s out being a shill for BP or an uber-partisan for Dear Reader*?
Her husband? Her…partner?
If so, is she demeaning their role in child-raising?
If not…WTF??? What does SHE know about the time and effort (aka “work”) it takes to raise kids?
*someone called Baraka that because of his Teleprompter Jones, relating it to “Dear Leader”, North Korea’s all-purpose slavish suck-up to their Mass Murderer-in-Chief Kim Jong-Il, aka Jimmy Carter’s BFF.
