3rd Gay Man Slain In Edinburgh In 3 Weeks

Roger Gray’s body was found in the hallway of his Edinburgh home, making him the third gay man to be slain there in as many weeks. Gray was stabbed to death in a “sustained attack,” and his attacker “rigged the gas supply in the flat and lit a candle in an attempt to cover up the crime. Cops confirmed they were investigating whether the 64-year-old statistician was targeted because of his sexuality.” Gray, who retired from teaching at Heriot-Watt University in 2007 after 40 years, is survived by a long-term partner, though he lived alone.
