Aaron Schock isn’t letting his mounting legal troubles prevent him from living life to the fullest. Despite being at the center of a federal probe into his questionable spending habits while representing Illinois’s 18th congressional district, the totally-not-gay, 100 percent heterosexual former congressman still knows how to have a good time.

Last night, he was spotted at Fiola Mare, a swanky Italian seafood restaurant on the Georgetown Waterfront, sipping a fruity cocktail with an attractive male companion. According to sources, Schock was dressed to impress in a fancy designer suit and appeared to be very into his date, er, “friend.”

No word yet as to who the mystery man was or why Schock, who lives in Illinois, was in D.C.
Schock has been under investigation for allegedly misusing government funds and campaign donations for about a year now. He has already paid millions in legal expenses and is expected to owe millions more when everything is said and done. All that is in addition to him owing $750,000 to his previous attorneys, plus another $750,000 in campaign debt.
We can only hope his “friend” covered last night’s bill.

@Kangol: You can’t really blame Queerty, per se, since there is no collective conscience or editorial board. It’s just a collection of blogs discussing whatever interest the individual bloggers. If you find something lacking,my advice is to apply for a position so that you can fill that void. That said, I completely agree with you that the hockey story should have been reported. In fact, I’ve criticized Queerty for the same reason many times. In the past, I’ve emailed them with many news alerts but have given up since there was never a response. I’m convinced that no one reads the email sent to the account listed for news alerts. Oh well, Queerty’s loss.

For those who don’t know, Schock brought along a handsome twink to his trip to India. The man was listed as his official photographer and billed to his Congressional account, aka taxpayers. I’m not questioning Queerty’s journalistic ethics, but…how do we know that this story is true? No sources were named. No pictures were provided. The whole thing could have been made up by someone on your staff who has an obsession with Mr. Schock. Lots of haters at Queerty for hot guys who may not want to define their entire persona by their sexuality.

@DCguy: I am a gay Republican, but I’m not self hating. All the Republicans I know, including all of my family members who are Republican, are fully aware that I’m gay and I have a bf. As far as Schock brutalizing gays because he didn’t support gay marriage, well then, both Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton have been “brutalizing” gays for decades because they, too, opposed gay marriage up until recently. I don’t let others “brutalize” me. The only person who can brutalize you is YOU.

@joeyty: Clearly, Queerty is not a gay website, but a “far left” gay website. I imagine that many, if not most sensible gays in this country, do not believe in an exploding national debt and budget deficits, high taxes, giving welfare to able bodied people, opposing law and order measures, which protect gays from their predators, support illegal immigration, and support giving illegal immigrants benefits which American citizens are unable to get, etc.. I guess that the political views of most gays in this country would be unacceptable to the Queerty crew.
