Angie Zapata Trial Verdict: Allen Andrade Guilty
Four counts, including first-degree murder and a hate crime, is what the jury came back with for Allen Andrade, the murderer of transgender Angie Zapata. It took jurors just two hours to reach a verdict, which also included lesser charges of car and identity theft. Justice.
Sentencing was just completed — mandatory life without parole.
RIP Angie.

I’m happy that bastard was found guilty. I hope he rots jail, I hope he suffers there for the rest of his insignificant little life.
I want to give a big Canadian hug to Angie’s family who must feel empty. There is never justice for taking a life, as the family will have to live with the empty space the killer created for the rest of their life. Thank god she had a family who cared.
She deserved what she got, Either these “Changlings” as I call them start telling people “Hey I am messed up in the head and am really a different sex then I apear” Or simply deal with the anger when people they date retalite, I have no problems with gays or trannys IF THEY ARE HONEST. when a tranny sleeps with someone without being honest it should be considered sodimy/rape.

You are correct that if we are all honest about ourselves, things will get better faster. But there is no excuse to murder someone like this.

Raven – I haven’t followed everything in this case, but isn’t it true that Andrade not only has a fiancée, but that he hooked up with Angie via a networking site that caters to Gays/Lesbians/Bisexuals/Transgenders? Isn’t it also true that Andrade knew for days that Angie was born biologically male?
He not only pummelled her to death, he stole her car and took a joyride. He’s a sucking sack of shit. He didn’t retaliate, he murdered her.
Like wow reading some of the comments on here honestly it makes me sick to my stomach. Being trans and not being upfront about it isn’t wrong in any sense of the word. we are 7-8 times more likely to be murdered than someone who isn’t trans and as such it can be a matter of life and death to make sure our status as a trans person is not widely known to others. these stats are based on only reported murders so who knows what the real risk factors are. saying it is her (Angie Zapata’s) fault for being murdered is like blaming a rape victim for being raped. society needs to stop blaming woman for a mans actions it is never a victims fault and that is what she is a victim of hate and bias.
