Take this AP lede: “The Republican National Committee demanded Monday that television networks stop running a television ad by the Democratic Party that falsely suggests John McCain wants a 100-year war in Iraq.â€
Notice anything wrong with it? How about the little fact that they incorporated McCain’s spin into the factual portion of that statement?

I'm not convinced by this example (though I DO think the mainstream media are totally tucked neatly into McCain's briefs). In the context provided, the "falsely" can equally well be read as coming from the RNC's claim.
I didn't see this kind of outrage from the RNC while John Kerry was getting swift boated in 2004.
McCain is getting a free pass because the stupid democrats are allowing it by attacking one another to death.
