Dissecting ‘Doctor Who’

Bent British producer Russell T. Davies talks to the Los Angeles Times about his uber-hit remake of Doctor Who, as well as its two spin-offs, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures. Davies also discusses his seemingly shocking sexually exploratory story lines, “What was conceived as a very radical and brave bit of political storytelling became, to my surprise, the lightest comedy on Earth… You don’t get on a soapbox. There are other ways of telling the story that are subversive.

Did you ever think you’d see the day when Dr. Who became sexy and gay. The Brits keep moving forward and the USA keep moving backwards.

Doctor Who is a rollicking good time – a very entertaining program and I enjoy it immensely, as well as Torchwood! Long Live the Doctor! I wanna be a Timelord!
