I really don’t see why Oprah would keep her sexuality a secret. I mean the woman built her empire on openess and honesty about her own life and not to mention her contribution towards making homosexuality seem just that little bit more ‘normal’ to the heteros….I don’t know, it just doesn’t seem like something she’d bother to hide.

Why did Rosie O’donnell keep hers a secret until she was basically threatened with being outed by every lesbian group in the nation. She was constantly “Open” about her life. It’s that weird hypocricy of the closet I guess.

@Cam: Someone who keeps as much of their off-camera life private as possible should have it *easier* coming out, and a better excuse not to, than someone who “built her empire on openness and honesty about her own life.” Because at this point finding out that she *hadn’t* been open and honest after all would be far more damaging than her being a lesbian. And of course, had she been known to be such back in the 80′s she’d never have gotten to where she is.
Assuming that she is one, of course. Some people *are* asexual, or close enough. And I’d be surprised if someone with as much coverage as she’s had, for as long as she’s had it, has such a secret.
