Indiana Pol Seeks For Useless Marriage Ban

horses_ass-1.jpg
Indiana Senator Brandt Hershman hopes to see gay marriage banished from Indiana. The Republican pushed yesterday for House ally Eric Turner to introduce an anti-gay measure:

Proposals have passed the Senate three times. But Republican Senator Brandt Hershman says the stumbling block has been consideration in the House.

Hershman has again filed a resolution calling for the amendment. But he says the House should take up the issue first this year, and Republican Eric Turner plans to file the proposal in the Democrat-controlled House.

House Speaker Patrick Bauer may put the proposal to committee, but pointed out to Hershman that Indiana’s Defense of Marriage Act already forbids gay marriage, “I don’t know of any legal gay marriages in the state of Indiana, so obviously the state law is working.”

It’s like having an asshole on your elbow…
