Now back to the issue at hand. There are many Black churches that do have HIV/AIDS Ministries. I am actually supporting one this year in my local AIDS Walk fundraiser.

And we must always remember it's a 2 party fold. While alot of churches IN GENERAL have issues about dealing with homosexuality and AIDS. There are some Black churches doing something about it and credit should be given for that. But the people must seek the help in order to get services provided for them.

BTW,Does the Catholic,Presbyterian, Sothern Baptist Churches have any HIV/AIDS ministries???

This post and the post about blacks in California did come from Stereohyped, Queerty's sister site. I'm the editor of the blog, which is geared toward a majority-black audience in the same way that Queerty is geared toward a gay audience. It's largely about race and racial topics… hence the racial postings. When I cover anything specifically LGBT-related, albeit from the perspective of a straight black woman, Andrew sometimes highlights the posts verbatim on Queerty. Simple as that. In the marriage-ban post, I was actually supporting the argument that the black community is not exactly cornering the market on homophobia, even though the stereotype is that we are totally anti-gay. It's an unfair and untrue characterization of an entire race of people. I believe you might have understood this if you had read past the introduction. Knowing the tone and general position of Stereohyped would have also helped to clarify the entire thing. The purpose of the two posts was definitely not to divide nor to inspire the "my excuse for hating all blacks is that I'm convinced all blacks hate me" contingent.
