Red NYC model Shawn Sutton is our first Morning Goods guy of 2009 and even though he’s got weird International Male-style underwear on in a few of thses shots, Shawn’s got our engines revving for the new year.

Another one? Is it February already?

@Michael W.:
Poor Michael W, it’s tough being a racist a pig. The next time some homophobic asswipe spews his hate, understand that you are no different. You both would like to oppress a minority.
Last year, Queerty was plagued by racist Churchill-y, this year it’s Michael W. Could they be one in the same?
Phil
No offence (and by this, I mean with all offence possible), but big lips are kind of a turn-off.
rickroberts
Getting better. Keep trying. Still doesn’t hold a candle to most of the hot Brazilian boys. Y’know, there are many Black people in Brazil. Why don’t you try reaching down there for a hot Black model? Just a thought.
This one does have hot eyebrows.
hardmannyc
Beautiful head with luscious lips. Bod ain’t bad, either!
hardmannyc
Oh, and i think the underwear is sexy.
blake
@Phil:
This is why I sometimes hate Queerty. I understand that the Queerty staff are not racist. It’s just that Queerty has a certain racist following. When there are images of non-whites, the racist like Phil and Michael W. feel happy to spew their filth.
How are racist white gay men who spew their hatred any different from the homophobes who spread similar anti-gay hate? The answer is that you aren’t that much different. You both believe that you have a right to dehumanize others who are different from you. You don’t care what pain you cause others.
I’m sure, Phil and Michael W., it must give you great pleasure that Rick Warren, Pat Robertson, and the leaders of Mormon Church
are all white men like you. Knowing that the architects of your oppression share the same skin color and features as you must give you such pleasure.
—-
Japhy, David, and Cord:
It’s 2009, could you please institute some Terms of Service that ban hate speech? David & Japhy, you have written about your displeasure with the choice of Rick Warren to deliver the inauguration invocation. Great! If you are against bigotry, how about actually doing something about stopping it here on Queerty?
David,
Both Japhy and Cord are new to Queerty. They weren’t around last year when Queerty was plagued with the daily racist rantings of Churchill-y, Men-sar, or RCPV. You were. If you can take such umbrage about Rick Warren, then why can’t you understand that comments by people like Michael W. and Phil are just as disgusting as anything Rick Warren has said.
ndfsea
@blake:
Amen.
I don't think Bert and Ernie are gay... just looking for the right women.
Ew. He looks like a female in that last picture. Anyhow, I never like the MG dudes.
Blake- I mean, they’re against racism, not for censorhip. It’s not as if they’re encouraging the bullshit, they’re just not meddling all that much. It would be a waste of their time. And, seriously, there are so few people working on the two sites that I would rather they focus on the articles.
What I do not understand is how Japhy refused Cab Calloway. It’s what I checked back for. I thought I so had it! Nooooooo.
A.S.
This is a sad way to start off the new year… at least for Morning Goods it is. No offense to this decent looking guy, but he’s really not all that and a bag of chips. Could have done much better for the first of 2009. Find a German, Italian, hell even a Canadian for once.
Here’s to hoping things improve for the next Morning Goods. 🙂
Michael W.
@blake: Phil saying he doesn’t like big lips constitutes as hate speech? Who is he preaching hate against? Like there aren’t any big lipped white folks or thin lipped African-Americans?
This is why people like James Dobson rail against hate crimes legislation. They’re afraid assholes like Blake will have the law behind them when they start throwing “hate speech” around frivolously, censoring what we say.
When you go on Craigslist and see so many white guys asking for other white guys in the m4m section, is that “hate speech,” Blakey? Should that be outlawed as well?
Alan down in Florida
Let me understand this. If someone isn’t attracted sexually to a man of color that makes him a racist?
Mike
@BLAKE
I take issue with your argument. I don’t know the people who commented before you. They may be racist, they may not, but their comments posted here are not racist. While who we are attracted to may reflect underlying racism, it is not in and of itself racism. There are 6 billion people in this world, and I have yet to meet someone who is attracted to every one of them. Everyone I know is attracted to only a subset of that population. The criteria we use to define the subset of individuals to whom we are attracted is too personal to be judged by others. Each of us may be primarily attracted to men, women, people of light skin, medium skin, dark skin, younger people, older people, people our own age, blonds, brunettes, red heads, people with black hair, etc, etc, etc.
You argue that the commenters above are acting in a manner similar to homophobes like Mr. Warren. I would argue that you are the one who is acting like Mr. Warren. Mr. Warren is arguing that all men should be attracted to the same sub-population that he is attracted to (women). You too are arguing that these commenters are wrong for not being attracted to the same sub-population as you.
Please continue to argue that people who represent the sub-population that you are attracted to should be represented here. That’s great! Others, like the individuals above, will push for more people like those to whom they are predominately attracted. In the end I suspect you’ll both be ignored and the people represented here will represent the sub-population to whom the people who write this blog are attracted. They do they work, they should put what they like up. But please, don’t accuse people of racism, or any other ism, simply for not being attracted to the same people that you are. The symbol of GLBT-pride is the rainbow flag, displaying the diversity of our community. Isn’t the fact that we can be attracted to different people a wonderful thing? We don’t need to be homogenous and all conform to your perception of attraction.
Nick
While I do think some people go too far in airing their derision, I do not believe that just because someone is attracted to a certain race necessarily makes them racist towards others. Unfortunately, the race police here are quick to jump on anyone who wishes to speak their preference (not saying that some do not deserve it).
Just like I appreciate the beauty of women, I do not want to sleep with them, and I wouldn’t exactly be happy if they were in Morning Goods either. Does that make me a misogynist?
I like white boys, and you can bet, my own personal “Morning Goods” would be pretty mono-ethnic. I’m fine with Queerty spreading the wealth, but it isn’t going to all of the sudden change my hormonal attractions to a certain type.
afrolito
I love how all the queerty racist come out from under their hoods when a black model is feautured in morning goods. Sorry, but not being attracted to people of color (who make up most of the worlds population) is indeed racist. To not see beauty outside of “whiteness” is racist, and sad. The analogy of being able to find women beautiful, but not being sexually attracted to them is ridiculous, when gay men come in all colors.
Once again these comments illustrate how certain white gay men are as wrapped up in their white privelege/sumpremecy, as their hetero counterparts.
As far as this model goes, I think he’s gorgeous. Some of these pics are uninspired, and definetely don’t do him justice.

The dictionary’s definition of racism:
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/racism
1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one’s own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.
_______
Wikipedia’s definition of racism:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racism
Racism, by its simplest definition, is the belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. People with racist beliefs might hate certain groups of people according to their racial groups. In the case of institutional racism, certain racial groups may be denied rights or benefits, or get preferential treatment.

“While I do think some people go too far in airing their derision, I do not believe that just because someone is attracted to a certain race necessarily makes them racist towards others.â€
Um, yes, racial preference is pathetic. Look, we’re ALL vain because of evolution. Some are shallower than they need to be, but we automatically judge looks and put emphasis on them (because certain appearances used to mean better health). There is nothing evolutionary that makes us more attracted to certain races. You create that yourself. It’s not like appreciating muscles or a small nose.
I don't think Bert and Ernie are gay... just looking for the right women.
Michael W, Phil:
“@blake: Phil saying he doesn’t like big lips constitutes as hate speech? Who is he preaching hate against? Like there aren’t any big lipped white folks or thin lipped African-Americans?â€
True. Nobody would call someone racist if they said they didn’t like thin lips. The thing is, Phil stated: “No offence (and by this, I mean with all offence possible)†Which turned it into a mockery of black people.
I don't think Bert and Ernie are gay... just looking for the right women.

Inapt. Inapt. Inapt.
I mean, you’re working against gay people there. Not just cause your racism makes you look bad… but you’re comparing a racial sexual preference to a gender sexual preference. Only one of those is not a choice. The other’s just willful discrimination.
I don't think Bert and Ernie are gay... just looking for the right women.
Mike:
“The symbol of GLBT-pride is the rainbow flag, displaying the diversity of our community. Isn’t the fact that we can be attracted to different people a wonderful thing? We don’t need to be homogenous and all conform to your perception of attraction.â€
That is the most warped way of looking at that ever…. You think accepting diversity is accepting the individual close-mindedness of everyone? What about accepting that all races are just as beautiful? If you’re not attracted to a certain ethnicity, you don’t actually think they’re just as beauteous. You’re just pretending you do.
“You argue that the commenters above are acting in a manner similar to homophobes like Mr. Warren. I would argue that you are the one who is acting like Mr. Warren. Ummm… but homosexuality is biological, a racial preference is not… Racial preference IS a choice. And you keep dividing people based on their ethnic heritage. It’s not like we don’t think it’s good to accept people are attracted to different types of people. We just don’t think “different types of people†means “people of different races.â€
Great, I can sleep now. Witht he comfort that blacks got criticized for not empathizing with gays and gays got upset at them and NOW some gays here are being blatantly racist towards blacks. COCK FERRETS.
michael
The comments here are so telling and its that the racists like Michael W. are no different than those they oppose. You hear these awful comments about “big lips” and shit and then on the other extreme another person decides one is racist based upon the preferred color of the person they wish to fuck. Jesus. My sister in law and her mother are a great example of this. My mother in law grew up in Bavaria under Hitler, was spoon fed racism in school and by society in general. After the war she moved to the states. Of course like many “non racists” she would always let everyone know how awful she thought racism to be until……….her daughter started dating and eventually married a black man. Now, before you assume the daughter is so much more evolved than her mother, think again. The reality is that my sister in law never knew if she really loved her husband because her mating with a black man was an act of rebellion and a “fuck you” reaction to her. My husbands mother is a controlling, rigid bitch. I would come to see this more when my husband asked why they were engaged so long and his sister finally told him it was because her fiance was not divorced. Even though he had not been with his former, or not so former wife for over 12 years. My sister in laws response was, “you know how black people are”, for the reasons her fiance had never divorced. One of those comments in line with “you know how black men go around impregnating women and never sticking around to raise their kids”. etc. etc. So before you start calling the kettle black, take your own inventory and just listen to the crap that comes out of your own mouth. There is a reason you see folks like Afrolito immediately engaged when someone like Michael W. makes a comment. Cause in essence, they are not a whole lot different.

i don’t think you need to censor it though, because it *exists*.

@I don’t think Bert and Ernie are gay… just looking for the right women.:
“Ummm… but homosexuality is biological, a racial preference is not… Racial preference IS a choice. And you keep dividing people based on their ethnic heritage”
I never used the term race in my posting. I’m a biologist, and the term has no biological basis. At times it can roughly correlate with ancestral population, but there are many of us (myself included) who are just a mutt and the term race is biologically useless. I described traits, such as skin color, gender, height, etc. that are phenotypes and admittedly may be more prevalent in one population or another, but don’t define a ‘race’.
Yes, twin studies have shown that there is a genetic component to homosexuality. I don’t remember the exact percentage, but not 100% nor 0%. What this means is that , while our genes influence our eventual sexual orientation, they’re not completely determinative either. You argue that ‘racial preference’ is a choice. I don’t know for sure that you’re wrong in this assumption, but I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that there IS a genetic/developmental component to it. The desire to mate with someone more like yourself or less like yourself would, I would guess, be subject to evolutionary pressure. For example, in some areas, mating with an individual more like oneself may have provided for stronger intra-group bonds, and for other populations, mating with someone more different may have prevented inbreeding. If that is so, some of us may be more attracted to people who look more similar to us (of whatever ‘race’ we are) and some may be more attracted to people who look more different from us. While this supposition seems reasonable to me, I don’t know if there is any evidence to support or refute it, so if anyone knows of research addressing this, I’d love to see it!
I’m not defending racism. It is abhorrent. I’m simply arguing against attacking people on the basis of who they are attracted to.

It’s a form of narcissism which is inherent in human beings! Have you read Dawkins ‘The Selfish Gene’???
I’m really up on genetics at the moment and the human ‘way’ per se. It’s a bit of everything really..
The way people are on this post or this site I should say, is a little too agressive…a little non-sensical..
It’s like a ‘badge of honour!’, which in fact makes it more social then possibly linked to the humad instinctive want or need…
I feel as humans we respond to beauty. Full stop. And with that a lot of people ideolize beauty with what they’ve socially seen growing up. All our emotions and feelings are wrapped up in pre-emptive thought! We’re in fact full of shit!
How many of us have one natural or original thought process that has not been tarnished or influenced by said life or experiences?
But we are animals. And if I guy looks good….he looks good!

Good Job Japhy, you are a true /b/ solider. I expect at least two more good drama filled post – just make sure to change it to “Morning Wank”.

Nick
LOL. I love that Michael W. used disgusting Craigslist trolls as a defense for his racialist speech.
Suburban
very nice body, and looks like a big package to me.

@Japhy Grant:
Thank you, Japhy.
I don’t have a problem with people having a preference for a certain look. Some people prefer brunettes, some red heads, etc. The problem is dehumanizing and denigrating people who don’t fit one’s definition of desirability, especially when done in a blatantly racist or chauvinistic way.
Michael W. has a history on Queerty of making racist comments against of black and Latino models. He makes it known that they are not only not his preference but there is something inherently wrong with them because they are not white. He then proceeds to make comments decrying that any people of color be Morning Goods because he only likes white guys and that the appearance of said models of color is based on “Affiramtive Action,” etc. Thus, Michael W. wants to impose his ideals of beauty on everyone who reads Queerty.
Newsflash, the majority of the human race is not white!
To others, hiding behind a fear of censorship is B.S. Queerty is a privately owned site. Its owners have the right to determine what if any kind of postings are made on the site. Moreover, pretending that words don’t hurt is a pathetic coming from gay men, especially ones who protest against the homophobic utterances of others. For instance, Prince has come under fire by gays for some statements that he made allegedly. Japhy reported on this today. Homophobic comments came also from Mickey Roarke and Scott Caan several months ago. They also come daily from many Republican operatives.
As for disagreements with my comparisons to Rick Warren, get real. His words mattered. The anger about Warren is more than that Warren supported Prop 8; Warren’s words generated equal ire: equating homosexuality to bestiality.
And a ridiculous claim that criticizing an African-descended person for having “big” lips is prejudiced. Such a claim is inherently bigoted since it denigrates a human being based on a generic “racial” phenotype. To pretend that such a statement isn’t prejudiced is pathetic. Please be my guest to fly to Beijing and tell it’s inhabitants that you find them unattractive because they have an epicanthal fold (monolid).

For the 40th comment, I just want to add that the Model is cute but needs to eat more (Never trust a man with a flat stomach my Aunt Hester said). I am guessing that his is circumcized by his underwear (too bad about that lost loving feeling of an uncut penis!) but let’s not objectify Shawn. It’s really about the articles, right guys?
To all the racists (you know, the ONE person who changes their Screen name often but still says the same crap) don’t worry, the little white twinks will be back. There are other races in Our population (I want to use the word Community but I fell into the chasm of difference.)
Seriously, we need to do bridge-building with African-Americans as Queerty has provided blogging fodder to those who believe Gays are More Racist when the opposite is more the norm (less racist than the Straight Community and there is research data to back that up ie Gay Marriage, Census interpretation, Gay Adoption records)…..just so you don’t think I pulled it out of my Ass like Shawn Sutton’s dick.
Ok, the last comment was a cheap shot but he is HOT!

Here’s the deal. If you start censoring, I will stop coming. I think many others feel the same way. If some of you think Michael W. or anyone else is racist, then articulate it intelligently and argue with passion. Don’t just whine for terms of service or censorship. Nobody is forcing you to read the comments. The net is the wild west. Where the hell have you been?
An Other Greek
It’s tricky. Censorship is often a bigger problem than any it purports to alleviate…
In today’s post it is not necessary, but there has been some ugly POISON on this site and I think it is these past comments, even more so than today’s, that have people enraged, including myself…
It’s a tough one: Eg. I don’t need to come to Queerty to know that a disturbing number of queers are racist, I see that outside the web too. Still, it is as someone said a tragic mirror, and possibly useful…
Oh, and btw, there really always is SOME kind of censorship or another anyway…

@rickroberts:
I agree with you, though I don’t think they would censor-that would be too many people! But the net isn’t that wide at all for good snarky gay news..infact Queerty is the only(?) place like this on net! Very Gawkerish but that’s why I like it and others from different countries. If their was more like Queerty, yes I would frequent those too or instead because I hate to say this, when their are certain subjects that you KNOW someone will be racist-it’s exhausting and I don’t even click on a post. At one point there was this guy who related EVERYTHING to race and I didn’t come to Queerty for a while. That means a drop in page impressions, which means a drop in advertising etc. I’m sure I wasn’t alone in this and you can see from my statements above I leave for a great and healthy debate with constructive dialogue…and I’m no “whiner”.
JH
Please post more white men. You only ever post black men. It’s racist. I like whites. Are you not going to post any more white men, or are you only going to post non-white men from now on? Drag.
JH
BTW Japhy, your using this site’s photos to race bait is the most offensive thing of all. So please get off your self-righteous horse about flagging comments. You are the editor…you posted three black men in a row…are you surprised? you got the controvery you were so baldly aiming for. Now how about treating us with some respect and top acting like a republican politician and more like a contructive member of the gay community with a particular forum to lead. I don’t appreciate the race-baiting you have been doing since you started the job. It taints the other rather good thing you bring, and it insults and bring out the worst in the readership. You are in charge. I blame you.

@JH:
JH: The gay white community in a nutshell.
Black Gay remains todays Black. Not matter what you say white kids, you can’t take black away from us. We’re black in white America and we’re black in the gay community.
I support Queerty’s effort to diversify. If all the white racists want to run away, open the door for them. Trying to appease them would be wrong on a moral level and maybe even a practical level. White men who don’t care for non-white guys will continue to come to read all the news, gossip and lust over the white or white looking latino guys while avoiding the pictures of black men. If anything, people of color will keep at bay if you try to appease the racists white gay men.
michael
I have a theory. Something that I have come to believe through self observation and then observing others. We humans are complex beings and our inner worlds consist of what I like to call “a cast of thousands”. Basically they are just different parts of ourselves, different ego’s developed at different points in our lives for different reasons. I believe everyone has a part of themselves that is a bigot. Does this make bigotry right or true? Of course not, it just means that either through listening to Uncle Joe say nasty things about black folk, or through our own natural fears of things we don’t understand, most formed this part of ourselves. But I also believe that in order to be the best we can be we have to determine who is driving the bus of these casts of thousands, who governs and controls them. There is also a natural part of ourself that is capable of observing our inner world and governing it. Everyone has it, some would call it there higher self, Buddha self even Christ self, I tend to call mine my adult. This part of ourself is the wisest part of our self. It oberves and seeks out the facts, it is connected to what is true. It looks at our inner racists and bigots and compassionately says, just as a parent would say to a child, “you know what your saying is ridiculous, or untrue or I am going to find out the truth about this and get back to you, in the mean time, watch your mouth.
Basically the racist comments that happen on this site are coming from folks who have no inner adult, no grownup is governing their lives and the shitty adolescents are running their shows. Michael W. says the things he says because in my theory he wants attention and he does this by trying to get a rise out of people. You can tell by the ignorance of most of his comments that they are not coming from a real grown up. They are mostly stupid and off the cuff and being that his inner adolescent seems to run his life I doubt if its a very happy one,
so he spends a lot of his time trying to find others who are either unhappy, or he wants to make unhappy, it gives him a false feeling of power and control. So guys, stop getting so angry at people like him. Your inner grownup cannot control his
shitty inner teenager.
But do realize that when you feed his adolescent by sparring with him, he is actually winning. Remember, teenagers are very cunning and manipulative and you are probably giving him exactly what he wants or thinks he needs to be seen and feel alive. Withdraw your energy and people like him will go elsewhere, its the best way to rid this site of childish rantings and get to things that are truly important and beneficial, unless we want this site to be a playground for angry, parent less children.
Michael W.
@seitan-on-a-stick: “To all the racists (you know, the ONE person who changes their Screen name often but still says the same crap) don’t worry, the little white twinks will be back.”
Are you implying that I’m posting under different names? LOL. I’m sure Japhy has the IP addresses and can see that nobody else is posting anywhere near my little bumfuck of a town.
Maybe it just makes you feel better to think that Michael W. is the sole voice in favor of white men. Our community is really “open and diverse” and I’m just a sad anomaly.
No, seitan, I’m the gay community’s white exclusivity in the form of words on your computer screen. Instead of most Queerty readers who see Shawn Sutton and scroll past him while awaiting the next Morning Goods, I voice my displeasure in the comments section. Cause I’m too arrogant to feel guilty; I don’t give a shit.
Japhy can ban me or stringently monitor the comments if he wants, I won’t be going anywhere. I’m all around you. Whenever you open a GQ magazine and see a plethora of beautiful white men adorned in expensive suits and casual threads, that’s Michael W. Whenever you go to justusboys.com and see nothing but thumbnails of white twinks and muscle jocks fucking and sucking, I’m right there. I’m SeanCody.com, CorbinFisher.com, CockyBoys.com and Men’s Health. I’m Hollywood, I’m the college institution, I’m 43 and 1/2 American presidents. I’m the reason Asian women get their skin bleached and Beyonce avoids the sun whenever it’s time to promote a new album. I’m white glorification and I’m so deeply ingrained around the world that it’s going to take a hell of a lot more than some token Morning Goods picks to erase me.

@TheD:
Race baiting and diversification are not the same thing. You confuse them. Do you think Republican diversify? No – they race bait. I am not white, so I think your comments are manifestly nonsense. Racists like you who call everyone racist run to the nearest stereotype to make your own racist case, whether accurate or not. Japhy knows what he is doing. It is divisive. Shame on him. He is race baiting for the same reasons republicans race bait. Pity.
BTW – there are plenty of black and asian gay men who prefer whites.
sparkle obama
you kids are on some deep, crazy sh*t…!

@JH:
Are you kidding?? Japhy didn’t post the one before..it was David..
This is really surreal. You’re clinically insane because they always only post white guys, see above comments. But you’re irrational, so I won’t try and rationalize. But you sound like you’re having a laugh! So you got me there! Tease!
I will say this, White gay guys need to take a chill pill, Take a deep breath and use all that angry and fighting energy towards something useful; like fighting to prevent gay teen suicide or something that obscure because a silly little argument because some one postd a picture of a black dude gets your knickers in a twist Michael W, is soo…strange.

@Michael W.:
I doubt he will ban you, no need to weep Michaela! And too right! Don’t be bullied and share your views.
I’m black and didn’t see a big deal with what you said or you just said. People need to chill. Humans are inherently mean. We seek inate pleasures from those who look like us, think like us and act like us.
We crave acceptance. It’s in our nature.
As a white dude I’m sure that means a black dude isn’t your cup of cocoa.
And as a black dude it could mean a white dude isn’t MY cup of milk. But (un)fortunately I was one of the crazy kids that grew up literally in a multi racial community, school and environment as a child-(I’m a child of a diplomat!)
So all good.
Your last post was kneejerk and purposefully spiteful. We all already know the world as it is and contrary to much belief, lol, we don’t actually need to have it told again…though on second thoughts, I do prefer this ‘honest angry’ white male to the ‘saintly put upon blue-collar we’re now have no rights’ white male that white guys have taken to parading in the US and Britain.
Puke.

@John from England(used to be just John but there are other John’s): I am having a laugh, and what’s more it is a sad day when something so sacred and beloved as porn is used as a tool for hate. How dare Queerty perpetuate stereotypes by showing pictures of a black man with a big penis? he couldn’t find one with a small penis? There are plenty of smal-penised black men who read Queerty and they deserve representation.
Black blogs like Jasmyne’s are so much more aware of what’s ‘now’.
busted. Happy New Year.

@JH:
Just because you aren’t white doesn’t mean my post is nonsense. I’m completely aware of all the black and asian men lusting after white men and white life.
If calling me racists will make you feel slightly better at being an Uncle Tom of whatever your race (oh yes! I said it!) thats cool.
JH
@TheD: OK, then, your post is nonsense no matter my race. Thanks for making my point for me.
TheD
@JH:
Sure. Nonsense…
You’re really sad.
