Michelle Visage recently revealed to us, in an exclusive interview, that filming for RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 7 will begin “later this summer.” Now, thanks to the Nancy Drew’s on Reddit, we know that production of the new set is under way!
According to images posted to Instagram and Tumblr, by Hollenbeck Films set designer Jaime Loera, the construction of the RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 7 set has begun!
The set, which is being constructed on Stage 5 at Hollywood Center Studios, looks bigger than any season before it. “I can tell you there are some big changes coming in season 7. That’s all I’m telling you,” Michelle Visage recently revealed to us. If this new set is part of the big changes, we’re excited to see how it turns out!
Jaime has been updating his Instagram and Tumblr continuously with new images of the set since construction began yesterday. He even responded to an anonymous question on Tumblr, which asked if he worked for RuPaul’s Drag Race, by saying “No just getting the stages ready for production. ‘Rigging it’ (Hollywood term)”.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Below are the photos that Jaime has uploaded so far; we will update this article with his new images as they are shared.
