Supreme Court Will Let You Live Tweet The #Prop8 Trial

Whenever Perry v. Schwarzenegger reaches the Supreme Court — with the next hurdle possibly concluding next week — expect lots of furious typing from the peanut gallery. That’s because the Supreme Court yesterday announced “live text based communications” will be permitted during hearings. So get your #ScaliaBeingAPrickAgain hasthtags ready, kids!

Get a clue! This is the UK Supreme Court. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure that Perry v. Schwarznegger will be reviewed by the U.S. Supreme Court. Sheesh!

My lords, I am pleased to present my learned friend, Mr. Ted Olson, QC, who will be representing these couples’ case against the most excellent Arnold Schwarzenegger, by Her Majesty’s grace, Royal Governor of California.

@Abby: To be fair, the chances of SCOTUK finding against Olson-Boies are somewhat lower than SCOTUS – Britain being about a decade ahead of America on LGBT rights issues – so it might just be wishful thinking on the part of Queerty.
