WATCH: Prop 8 Supporters Have No Case And Homosexuals Commit Half Of All Murders
In less than three weeks, Prop 8 supporters may have to discuss the merits of their case to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals—too bad their case doesn’t have any merits. Meanwhile, Washington United for Marriage has started holding community meetings to garner lawmaker support during the 2012 legislative session and New Jersey Deputy Assembly Majority Leader Reed Gusciora has voiced support for introducing a bipartisan marriage equality bill despite a veto threat from governor Chris Christie. And lastly, homosexuals account for half of all murders, according to guy who makes things up—all in this week’s Marriage Watch with the adorkable Matt Baume.
What is the point in NJ introducing a bipartisan bill for marriage equality when Gov. Christie said he’ll veto any bill that comes across his desk?

and ignoring the idiot. The video clip would have been even funnier if they included the part of his spiel containing the perfunctory, “I represent XXX, which has 1 real member, 20 honorary members (who don’t know they are signed up), and 2 (very reluctant) associate members (who are members because I’d cut them off financially otherwise).” Usually that perfunctory spiel is there because the guy knows his “facts” would be ignored as obvious nonsense, so all the politicians will want to know is, “how many votes does this guy sort of represent and are they for or against it.” Mostly these bogus facts are just filler – what he really wants is to fill up his 2 or 3 minute slot as a delaying tactic.
Unfortunately, it has become standard operating procedure for people to simply lie in these hearings whenever they oppose something, usually because “Not in or even near my backyard” sounds too self-serving. We’d do things a lot faster if people would refrain from wasting our time by spouting nonsense – just saying, “I don’t like it” would be an honest comment, whether you agree or not, and takes up a lot less time.

Yes! and in that line of logic, the man is basically saying, we should lock up the homosexuals and heterosexuals(the whole population) all in jail to rot for the rest of their ungodly/godly lives.

You do realize that if you are straight that the last thing you would want is to have all those bad gays in jail would now mean that straights would now be responsible for 100% of all murders? :P

hopefully they can get the bill passed in WA (and public support built to a sufficient level) so that it can wind up on the 2012 ballot (as it almost certainly will most likely do to a citizens initiative) but If WA can get history to hold out and the voters to again vote in favor of gay rights like they did on R78 when they upheld the states full domestic partnership law (separate but equal marriage making it the first state to have a gay rights issue put before the voters and the gay rights issue pass in favor of the LGBT) it would make some more history.
