Which Gay’d Rip-Off of Katy Perry’s ‘I Kissed a Girl Boy’ is the Gayer-est?

Last year the actor-singer Chris Salvatore, who got naked in insta-camp classic Eating Out 3, released an auto-tuned track called “I Kissed A Boy.” Yes, it was a rip on that annoying hack Katy Perry’s song “I Kissed a Girl.” We don’t believe Salvatore ever filmed a music video for it, but YouTube always picks up the slack, which is where the above video comes from. And then reader Chev alerts to this video of “He Kissed a Boy,” another homage to Ms. Perry — though we forgive both efforts, because they’re at least twice as listenable as their inspiration.

Number 2 stays with the tone of Perry’s original–doing it for the amusement of the opposite sex/to start shit. Also, of note are the many “close calls” kisses, but no actual man-on-man in the vid for the second. For that reason alone, I think the first was much gayer.

Number 2 is the Cobra Starship cover/re-make. It was released on the CitizensFOB mixtape, leading up to Fall Out Boy’s Folie a Deux CD.
