YOU’RE INVITED: Join Alec Mapa For ‘We Are Golden’ In LA on Sept. 27

You do NOT want to miss out on the glam rock and theatrical experience that is “We Are Golden” on Monday, September 27 at Arena Nightclub. The concert benefits LifeWorks, a youth program at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center. Alec Mapa hosts the event and if you’ve seen him on The View or Ugly Betty, you know he’s not afraid to get outrageous and break your funny bone.

“We Are Golden” celebrates unique talent and diversity and you can see it in their extraordinary line-up. Perry Farrell (Jane’s Addiction) performs his new electronic musical act “Perry-Etty vs. Chris Cox” and Jody Watley (R&B and jazz) brings her groove to an exclusive performance for the VIP Lounge. Artists such as singer Carmit (solo artist formerly of The Pussycat Dolls), Beat Freaks (MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew), and celebrity choreographer Brian Friedman (X-Factor) help bring the house down. Check the website for updates as we release more exciting news!

Buy your tickets now! For tickets and a full update of performer listings, go to: www.lagaycenter.org/WeAreGolden.

You will also be supporting LifeWorks’ mentoring programs, scholarships, and after-school workshops for LGBTQ (Q is for Questioning) youth. Most LGBT youth still suffer the effects of homophobia – rejection, violence, depression and suicide rates – in unacceptable numbers. To learn how you can help, please visit www.LifeWorksLA.org.

This concert is produced by Open Artists with Open Arms, which supports and markets unique and innovative talent: no types or labels. For additional information on Open Artist Movement, please visit www.OpenArtistMovement.com.
