I had some experiences like this when I was that young. Unfortunately, I was raised Mormon so it wasn’t such a sweet ending.
Good for Mr. Platt. I’m so happy that young people were able to accept it so much more easily.

Oh the nepobaby that doesn’t think there’s such a thing.

You clearly do not have enough to do.

Wait…isn’t she Carmy’s new girlfriend, Claire, on The Bear??

Outing someone isn’t coaxing them out of the closet, it’s ripping them out of the closet. Glad it seemingly didn’t bother him but it could’ve gone a lot worse.
I think that there’s a misperception that a person is saved when they’re out and that’s not necessarily the case. We should choose to come out on our own terms

Totally agree. Sounds more like an outing than friendly help.

Little Miss Blabbermouth is lucky he doesn’t hold a grudge. She sounds nasty. The more I hear from this guy though, the worse he comes across.

He’s got more talent in one finger than you, descrans, inbama and diplomat have in your entire bodies, hell, your entire families’ bodies.

He had one good role, allegedly, but anything I’ve ever seen him in, he could easily be replaced by anyone.
DBMC
Double down Shaver, just confirm you don’t know what you’re talking about. He’s currently getting raves for “Parade” on Broadway and that’s an amazing role. You’re just proving how uninformed you are–which isn’t unusual for you.

Nepo Boy was “coaxed” out?
…..um….not really
DuMaurier
I never heard of Platt till the movie version of “Dear Evan Hansen” came out & then the avalanche of “nepo” this & that. I still don’t get the obsession; or did it start randomly & then people mindlessly piled on? Lots of people have gotten their start through family, & the results have of course been a mixed bag. But Platt’s clearly proven himself; from reading about his career it doesn’t seem like anyone had an issue with who his father is for years.
So again, I don’t get why he’s the poster child for nepotism. I mean, it’s not like he’s the Baldwin brother whose first name you can never remember. I doubt dad bought the votes for his Tony award

You need to read how the movie got made – basically catering to him and his unwillingness to let a more suitable person play the role. Just read pretty much any interview from him. It’s all me me me and his failures are never his fault. You can’t really praise him cause he’s too busy praising himself lol I think people piled on the nepo because of his denial of it and his stance that his career has nothing to do with his entitlement. Yeah…. Right !! Lol. For me, it’s his attitude that rubs me the wrong way. I tried to like him but that nose seems to be firmly stuck up in the air and is looking. Humility does not seem to be in his vocabulary. Less interviews would make him more likable. Or more notable quality work that he doesn’t pretentiously promote and praise himself ad nauseam in. Those who do quality work can let the work speak for itself.

Davy’s bitter.

The whole “nepo baby” thing here reeks of sour grapes.
