Dick Cheney Says He’s Pained To See His Daughters’ Feud Become Public

cheneysThis is an issue we have dealt with privately for many years, and we are pained to see it become public. Since it has, one thing should be clear. Liz has always believed in the traditional definition of marriage. She has also always treated her sister and her sister’s family with love and respect, exactly as she should have done. Compassion is called for, even when there is disagreement about such a fundamental matter and Liz’s many kindnesses shouldn’t be used to distort her position.”

Former VP Dick Cheney in a statement released to (surprise!) defend daughter Liz’s firm stance against marriage equality

She should never have brought up her marriage stance in her Senate race if she didn’t want this to become public. She is trolling for the tea party votes. She deserves what she gets.

Dick Cheney should be pained at all the lives he destroyed in the US, Iraq and elsewhere, and the trillions of dollars the country has burned through based on his scheming to install George W. Bush in the presidency in 2000, and their subsequent lies that sent the US military into an unnecessary war in Iraq in 2003.

His daughters are just perfect examples of Republican family values. Mary Cheney in particular ought to be ashamed because she actively worked against equality for gay people until she could personally benefit from others’ hard, difficult work to ensure her equal rights. She is the worst kind of traitor.

Straight people should be compassionate towards gays, because gays are broken…

This whole family is psycho. I don’t feel sorry for any of them. Mary supported many candidates just like her sister. But now she wants to whine. They all deserve each other. Creeps.

@ouragannyc: HUH? Did your auto-correct change that last part for you because it sounded like you are another nut bag closet case self hating homophobe trolling on gay sites getting your jollies by instigating conflict. YOU sound broken to me. Maybe you should just stay on the Fox News sites and stay out of gay discussion groups.

@Harley: I’m surprised you didn’t get my point.I’ve been posting here for a while, you should not have jumped and called me a homophobe.
“Compassion” towards gay is trendy from the right wing, the church… and I find it quite hypocritical.
I’m a proud gay man who does not need “compassion” from anybody.

@AnitaMann: There is a documentary in the gay section of neflix who show the harm she did to the lgbt community by remaining silent during her dad’s vice presidency. She also supported the anti lgbt agenda of the republican party. So, I find the fight quite funny. Let them tear each other up.

Seriously… THIS is what ‘pains’ Dick?!

It’s awkward when the prejudice & bigotry you’ve exploited is suddenly turned against you.

      These people deserve each other.
