Kickxy Vixen-Styles, a popular drag performer, works the door as a greeter at Rich’s nightclub in San Diego, but she didn’t make any friends when she was allegedly attacked while patrons watched without helping.
Vixen-Styles claims she was accosted in the bar’s parking lot by a man who had been escorted out of the club earlier in the night. The attacker had allegedly tried to sneak into the bar. When she left work at approximately 3:30 a.m., he was waiting.
“I’m done for the night and I’m walking to my car when all of a sudden he’s behind me and I try to get in my car but it was too late he grabs my door open, and at that point I’m stuck between my door and him slamming it against me and trying to break my window,” Vixen-Styles told the San Diego Gay & Lesbian News.
She didn’t suffer any serious injury thanks to bar security staff, but says she’s left with emotional scars after her screams for help went unanswered by patrons. “A group of four trans girl(s) just sat across the street watching instead of getting help,” she said. “”I just felt so helpless and in a way just let down by the people around.”
“You would think that in your community people would take care of each other,” she posted on Facebook. “I know that if I were to see something like that I would intervene and get help. Please be safe out there and take care of each other.”
Vixen-Styles described her attacker to SDGLN as, “mid to late 20’s, Middle Eastern I think, black hair, goatee, about 5’10 to 6’0. Regular build.”
A separate attack on a Rich’s patron in January left the victim, William Frank Kidney, in the hospital.

Did he honestly think a transgender would care about a gay person(and a Drag Queen at that) being in danger?. It wouldn’t shock me if they were rooting for the attacker. Transgenders hate gays and lesbians; always have, always will, and they particularly hate non-conforming gay people, specially Drag Queens and butch lesbians. The assumption that they have our backs is due to their nonsensical inclusion in our movement, pushed by mainstream gay groups, completely disconnected from reality.

When I took martial arts classes years ago the first thing my instructor told us was “never think that just because you are around a group of people your safe” and this proves it. I can’t take sides on this one because something just doesn’t sound quite right as to why he targeted her. It what wasn’t said as to a motive is why I am not condemning the man.

@Harley: There was a bartender in ChiChi”s down on Christopher street whom I wonder why something like this didn’t happen to her. That queen was the reason a lot of people didn’t go in there.
I don’t find it an oversight as to why this patron who attacked was thrown out of the bar. That omission is the dead giveaway as to why there is more to this story than is being reported.

@Juanjo: well, to be fair, the str8 trans community (particularly str8 ftm which refuse to let go of their lesbian privilege; mtf largely runs on whether they’ve had access to the lgbt community before… those that haven’t, unsurprisingly… like most people (including high number of str8 acting brahs) that haven’t had access to the community by anything more than sitcoms, tend to be less appreciative of it.) do tend to be pretty anti-gay, anti-gay scene.
