Look out, Netflix! You may have lured away FX’s biggest producer, but the network’s not giving up on going for those gay dollars just yet…
Earlier this year, Ryan Murphy inked a $300 million deal with steaming giant Netflix. With their cash cow producer heading off for greener pastures, FX began searching for new talent to appeal to its growing LGBTQ viewership. Well, they may have found it.
The network just greenlit Fosse/Verdon, a limited series about legendary Broadway choreographer Bob Fosse and acclaimed dancer Gwen Verdon.
The eight-episode series will be based on Sam Wasson’s 2013 Fosse biography and is being executive produced by Broadway superstar Lin-Manuel Miranda.

In addition to being considered one of the greatest and most influential choreographers in dance history, Bob Fosse he was an accomplished filmmaker. In 1972, he nabbed a Best Director Oscar for Cabaret.
Verdon, Fosse’s muse, is widely considered one of the best dancers in Broadway history, winning a total of four Tony Awards over the course of her decades-long career. She, too, dabbled in film and is perhaps best known for her roles in 1958’s Damn Yankees and 1996’s Marvin’s Room.
The Hollywood Reporter says “the series will feature Fosse’s choreography and explore the hidden corners of showbiz, the price of pursuing greatness and the suffering inflicted in the name of art.”
Production is slated to begin in just a few weeks. Fosse will be played by Oscar winner Sam Rockwell; Verdon will be played by multi-Oscar nominee Michelle Williams. The series will premiere sometime next year.

Has anyone else experienced being able to sign in only to see that you are not signed in on all articles? Not only that but I have clicked on certain articles and something totally different came up. I get a profile update message every time I sign in and no matter what I am not able to be signed in but if I click on another article I am signed in. Something is wrong on the site. Am I the only one who is experiencing this?

I get the same thing every single time I sign in, it asks me to update my profile, I’ve just given in, I sign in and when I get to that screen I hit the back button til IM back at the article and then Im able to comment.

I think it’s a WordPress issue — I’ve had similar irritations on my personal wordpress blog from time to time.

I hope Rockwell and Williams have been taking dancing lessons big time, Fosse’s choreography is hell on the legs and knees. He was a brutal taskmaster.

I have contact Queerty many times about this issue. Says I have to sign in..I do..then it says my password is incorrect which is bull
I asked why do I have to sign in every time on every article ? I’m not changing my password ever other day because queerty cant remember it..plus I’ve left comments that never appear. I rewrite one it shows but later it’s gone again…what’s up with this sight. The app never works correctly I have to go long way around..and most videos do not show or wont play
